Tournament Information 1. Schedule and format: a. The event takes place at Golf Valley. For course information visit http://www.golfvalley.de b. Individual stroke play. Played over 54 holes, 18 holes per day. Starting August 29th, 2017 c. Official practice round, Monday, 28th of August 2017 2. Conditions of Competition: The tournament will be held in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Limited, the actual rules of the German Golf Federation, the Tour Rules of GJG and the local rules approved by the tournament committee. The local rules will be published and posted on the tournament notice board at the venue. The competition is deemed to be closed when the trophy has bee presented. Play will not be extended beyond Thursday the 31st of August. All players accept that photos made during the tournament will be published. Free practice round can be played on Monday, 28th of August. Additional starting times can be booked at the pro shop in the clubhouse and are paid by the player.
3. Teeboxes & Course Info U21, U18 & U16: Boys (Course A+B), white Tees Girls ( Course B+C), blue Tees U14 : Boys (Course B+C), yellow Tees Girls ( Course B+C), red Tees Please check again at the tournament office upon arrival. 4. The competition is a handicap qualifying event and according to the GJG eligibilities. a. Handicap b. National event finishes c. International and National ranking systems d. Eligibility to play: This event is co- sanctioned between the GJG Tour and 21golfleague and is open to amateur golfers, both boys and girls. Furthermore a 3rd age category is reserved to U14 with a max of 60 players: a. In the age classes - U14 age class max. 60 players - GJG Tour players age 12-18 (max. 18 at the start of the event) - 21golfleague age 18-21 (max. 21 at the start of the event) - All players need to become a GJG Tour member (U16 & U18) or 21golfleague member (U21) b. All players must be members of a registered golf club c. Handicap limit GJG Tour & 21golfleague - Boys 5 or better - Girls 9 or better Handicap limit U14 - Boys 12 or better - Girls 18 or better
If a player is not meeting the HCP limits or has no GJG eligibility status, please send a wildcard inquiry to service@globaljuniorgolf.com with latest tournaments results. The tournament committee has 10 wildcards available. 6. Number of entries: 156 participants. The tournament committee reserves the right to change/limit the size of the field. One third of the field will be designated for girls. If the field is limited, the tournament committee shall apply the following guidelines to determine which entries shall be accepted: a. Handicap b. National event finishes c. International and National ranking systems d. Tournament committee invitations e. GJG players eligibility 7. Prizes: 1 3 gross for both boys and girls in 21 golfleague (age 21 at start of event & under). In this category every player will tee of and the overall winner boys and girls of The German Futures will be determined. 1 3 gross for both boys and girls in GJG Tour (age 18 at the start of the event & younger) à winners will be exempt to play the GREG NORMAN ACADEMY JUNIOR INVITATIONAL: http://www.globaljuniorgolf.com/greg- Norman- Academy- Junior- Invitational.html 1 3 gross for both boys and girls in GJG Tour U14 In the event of a tie in each of these groups, the winner will be decided by a hole- by- hole playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. In the event of places 2 and 3 will be even, that will be decided as a scorecard tiebreaker. Taken into account until a difference in the number of strokes happens are: a. The last round total b. The last 9 holes
c. The last 3 holes d. The last hole e. 2nd round total f. The last 9 holes of the 2nd round etc. Award Ceremony will take place at the clubhouse 30 minutes after conclusion of play. 8. Entries Application for participation is only possible for members of the Global Junior Golf Tour and 21golfleague. 9. Closing date of entries: July 28th 2017 Cancellations made after the closing date, the full Entry fee will be charged. 10. Entry fee (mandatory): 150 Entry fee includes: Welcome Present Official practice round on the 28th of August 3 Tournament rounds. Water and fruits on the golf course during the tournament days. Free Range balls and use of the driving range on practice round and tournament days. Lunch during tournament days ( incl. water ). Welcome Dinner ( incl. water ). Players night Dinner ( incl. water ). 11. Accommodation Hotel Altwirt Important Info for international players: For 30 international players ONLY Accommodation is free from the 28th 31st of August 2017 and is given away based on first come, first serve registration for the tournament. Additional rooms or extry night prices will be available as displayed in the information below. In order to book a room, a player must be confirmed by the tournament committee, to proceed with the hotel booking. Please notice that players MUST share with another player to receive the details as mentioned above. Shuttles TBA IMPORTANT: shuttle requests outside the official times can incur costs. A player is responsible to coordinate its travel itinerary according to the official shuttle times. If a player misses a flight it is at his own responsibility. GJG, the shuttle company or etc. is not responsible for incurred fees by the player, if flight rescheduling has to be done or a player misses his flight. 17. Starting times Starting time will be announced no later than 15:00 o clock German time on 28th of August on the tournament website of Global Junior Golf, the noticeboard at the clubhouse and the official players hotel. 18. Dress code: 19. Behavior: Shirts with collar / No jeans Rude unsportsmanlike conduct or improper behavior in general, including the use of alcohol, will not be tolerated and will jeopardize further participation at the tournament. 20. Subject to change: The competition committee reserves the right to alter starting times and amend the regulations if necessary.
