FLORES - KOMODO 8 days / 7 nights PROGRAM
Day 1 - Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Gili Meno. All-night transfer (1 dive in the afternoon) Day 2 - Madang Island + Palau Satonda + Moyo. All-Night transfer (3 daily dives) Day 3 - Sengeang Vollcano + Banta Island (3 daily dives + hike up the view point), 1 night dive Day 4 - Komodo - Flores (3 daily dives + 1 night dive) Day 5 - Komodo - Flores (3 daily divesi + 1 night dive) Day 6 - Rinca Island (2 daily dives + trip to Komodo National Park) Day 7 - Sumbawa, all-night long transfer (3 daily dives) Day 8 Return to Gili Trawangan
Day 1 Gili Islands 14.00 - pick up from Gili Trawangan 14.30 - accommodation, getting to know the boat, lunch 16.00 - afternoon diving 18.00 - dinner, organizational meeting, sail out towards Komodo, all-night long transfer in the evening: relaxing, drink, cinema under the stars or just relax in comfortable rooms. Gili Islands - famous three islands located just off the northwestern coast of Lombok island. You can find there the most beautiful beaches, plenty of activities on land, but above all, dozens of dive sites. Blue water, lots of huge turtles, moray eels, sharks, lionfish, parrot fish ect. This place is perfect for easy diving and also perfect for a dive check.
Day 2 Madang Island, Palau Satonda, Moyo 7.30-1 dive - Madang Island 9.00 - breakfast 13.00-2 dive - Palau Satonda 14.30 lunch 16.30-3 dive Moyo 19.00 dinner 20.00 - first aid courses for volunteers. all-night long transfer We start our real diving adventure! Before each dive (using the side scan sonar 3D) briefing in 3D is needed. 3 islands (Madang, Moyo and Satonda) are located within short distance of each other, however they different a lot. Characteristics of dive sites: beautiful, soft and hard coral, easy diving, free of strong currents. During the breaks in diving, walk into the island Satonda where you can see volcanic salt lake. Short walk to a waterfall on the island Moya and bathing in natural hot tub are also possible. In the evening, shortened first aid course only for volunteers.
Day 3 Sangeang Vollcano, Banta Island 7.30-1 dive 9:30 breakfast 11.30-2 dive 13.00 lunch 14.30-3 dive 17.00 - walk and sunset on a beautiful hill (picture above) 19.00 - night dive in the bay 20.30 dinner after dinner workshop about usage of decompression chamber (for volunteers). Welcome to paradise! Beautiful place both under water and on land. Very Active day is waiting for us. We'll start with a beautiful diving around the huge pinnacle reaching 45 meters depth (hammerhead sharks, barracudas, large gruppers). We will admire sunset from a beautiful hill. At the end of the day - night diving. For knowledgeseekers a workshop about how to use decompression chamber.
Day 4 Komodo Flores 7.30-1 dive 9.00 breakfast 13.00-2 dive 14.30 lunch 16.30-3 dive 19.00-4 dive night 20.30 - dinner (on the beach)... - Return on boat Arriving to the Flores Komodo and Flores offer a large number of dive sites from the Pink Beach with a beautiful, untouched coral, through Manta Bay, where you can see dozens of manta rays in one place, until the dives around frequently occurring rock, where you are sure to meet the big fish, of course, led by the sharks. The area is also famous for manybeautiful, uninhabited or nearly uninhabited islands... In the end of the day we will have barbecue dinner on the beach (local fish and seafood).
Day 5 Flores Komodo 7.30-1 dive 9.00 breakfast 13.00 2 dive 14.30 lunch 16.30 3 dive 19.00 4 dive night 20.30 - dinner - barbecue on the boat. As before, this day is devoted entirely to diving. For volunteers we have also planned a short course of Boat driving, GPS usage, and - most interestingly - 3D side scan sonar. In the evening we plan gala dinner on the boat.
Day 6 Rinca Island 7.30-1 dive 9.00 breakfast 11.00 - visit to the Komodo National Park on Rinca island meet Komodo dragons! 15.00 - lunch on the boat 17.00 2 afternoon dive 19.00 - dinner That day we start diving at Manta Bay. In the morning you can easily find there dozens of manta rays. The middle of the day we spend hunting for Komodo dragons. The day will be finished with lazy diving at Pink Beach, which just this afternoon reveals its unusual color, and beautiful coral under water raises a real delight.
Day 7 Sumbawa 7.30-1 dive 9.00 breakfast 13.00-2 dive 14.30 lunch 16.30-3 dive 19.00 - gala farewell dinner, all-night long transfer Sumbawa. This place we saved for the dessert. Most of the diving safaris miss that place but not the Empress... Pristine reefs, protruding rocks, shoals of large fish - this is what the east coast of Sumbawa. The icing on the cake will be the wreck, which lies near the Sape. In the evening we have planned dinner and good buy party with watching pictures and videos on the big screen.
