Chapiter 1: Presentation of the event 1.1. The event Nordic Walking is a category of walking whose principle is to accentuate the natural movement of the arms and the propelling of the body forward with two sticks, therefore each participant is required to keep to the minimum of two supports (2 feet, 2 sticks or 1 foot / 1 stick) on the ground along the course. This event is part of NordicWalkin'Lyon, an event with its own regulations, and organized by the company KCIOP, 85 rue Etienne Marcel 93100 MONTREUIL, registered in the trade and company register of Bobigny under the number 531 663 151. KCIOP is specialized in the organization of sporting events. KCIOP is called the "Organizer" in the regulations. The event is a timed walk called Nordic Chrono Walk. The distance of the Nordic Chrono Walk, NordicWalkin'Lyon 2017 is about 10.5km, for about 100 meters of positive vertical drop. The starting and arrival place is at the Parc de Gerland in Lyon (69). The Nordic Chrono Walk will be made up of 3 loops of 3.5km and 35 meters of positive vertical gain for each loop, in a limited time of 2 hours 20 hours (4.5km / h of average). The start of the Nordic Chrono Walk will be given on Saturday 7 October 2017 at 2pm. 1.2. Nordic Chrono Walk in semi self-sufficiency The principle of an individual race in semi self-sufficiency is the rule for the Nordic Chrono Walk. The semi-self-sufficient is defined as the ability to be autonomous between two points of supply, in terms of food as well as that of clothing and safety equipment, making it possible to adapt to problems encountered or foreseeable Bad weather, physical problems, injury...). Each walker must have the totality of his/her compulsory equipment with him/her during the entire race (see EQUIPMENT section). They should transport this material in a non-exchangeable bag on the course. At any time during the race, at the start, on the course, but also after crossing the finish line, Race Judges may check the bag and its contents. The walker has the obligation to undergo these checks with cordiality, under risk of exclusion from the race. On the course, refreshment points are supplied with drinks and food to be consumed on site. Only water (excluding other beverages) is intended for filling cans or water bags. Each walker must ensure that he has at his departure from each supply zone the amount of water and food he needs to reach the next supply point. All personal medical or paramedical care is strictly forbidden. It is strictly forbidden to be accompanied on the course by anyone other than a regularly scheduled competitor. The notion of hare is forbidden, as is any material or physical support outside the supply zones. 1.4. Official Language French is the official language. Certain documents are available in English. 1.5. Parteners Acceptance of this regulation implies that each participant undertakes in all cases to have a positive attitude towards all the partners. Chapiter 2: How to register 2.1. Registration details Registrations are done online at www.nordicwalkinlyon.com; Or upon request to the Organizer. The Nordic Chrono Walk is open to all men and women born before the 31st of December 2001 (included, for the categories cadets to masters), licensed or not. A parental authorization will be required for all minors. All participants must present a medical certificate of non-contraindication to the practice of Nordic Walking (or athletics) in competition, OR an FFA / FFTRI / FFCO license dating from less than one year on the day of the competition. An electronic confirmation will be sent once the medical certificates or licenses have been validated. It is also possible to check online via your personal space if your registration has been fully validated. If the registration is incomplete and no e-mail has confirmed the online registration, it is imperative to bring his medical certificate or license to the withdrawal of the bibs. No bib will be issued if a valid medical certificate has not been validated by the Organizer. Exceptionally, and within the limits of the available bibs, registrations may be registered the day before and the day of the event at the bib number stand. Participation in the Nordic Chrono Walk entails the unreserved acceptance of these rules. 2.2. Maximum number of participants Nordic Chrono Walk NordicWalkin Lyon 2017 Regulations # page 4
In 2017, the Nordic Chrono Walk will accept maximum 500 participants. Entries will be registered by the Organization upon payment of the registration fee. The Organization reserves the right to modify these elements at any time according to the circumstances. In all cases, the rule "First come, first served" will be applied. 2.3. Rights of engagement The rights of engagement are 20 per participant, including : Participation in the competition (bib, electronic chips, marked and secure course) Access to warm-ups and stretching Access to refreshment points on the course Nordic Chrono Walk souvenir gift of NordicWalkin Lyon 2.4. Cancellation of registration Any person can, at the time of registration, subscribe to the cancellation guarantee of the Nordic Chrono Walk at an additional cost of 5 euros per person (to be added to the registration fee at the time of payment). The purpose of the guarantee is to allow the refund of the expenses incurred for the registration to the Nordic Chrono Walk, in the event that a participant requests to cancel their registration due to one of the following events: An accident or a serious illness leading to a sick leave superior to 3 days, The death of the participant, A serious illness that requires hospitalization, The death of the participants husband/wife or partner, direct ascendants or descendants, within thirty days before the event All registration cancellations must be delivered by email or by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt and must be justified by a certificate from the competent authority, mentioning one of the previous events. The reimbursement request must be sent to contact@nordicwalkinlyon.com or to KCIOP 438, rue de Branmafan 73230 Barby, with the certification within 10 days of the event. The demands will be processed within two months after the event. If the cancellation guarantee has not been subscribed, no reimbursement will be allowed. 2.5. Bibs and chips Each bib number is given individually to each participant, with a recoverable chip, upon presentation of identity at the bib withdrawal. The unreturned chips will be charged 10 per walker. The number must be worn on the chest or belly and must be visible at all times throughout the race. It must therefore always be positioned above any garment and can in no case be fixed on the bag or a leg. The name and logo of the partners must not be changed or hidden. Bibs are non-transferable. The chips for timing must be placed as stipulated when the bibs are removed. Each walker is responsible for the proper use of the chip. The rider cannot be timed in the following cases: Not wearing the chip, Loss of the chip, degradation of the chip, Non compliant chip port Chapiter 3: Security and assistance 3.1. List of recommended equipment (non-exhaustive list): Shoes adapted to the practice of Nordic Walking in the city (like running shoes) A water reserve: ½ liter per person Some cereal bars A waterproof or windproof jacket with a hood to outstand bad weather A pair of sunglasses A personal 15cl cup A whistle 20 euro note in case of hitches A pocket knife A detailed map of the city 3.2. Security and medical assistance The rescue stations, located at various points of the routes, are intended to assist any person in danger with the means specific to the Organization or Contracted. The rescuers are empowered to evacuate by any means at their convenience the walkers whom they judge to be in danger. Any walker calling on a doctor or a first-aid worker actually submits to his authority and agrees to accept his decisions. To call for help, a walker can: - Go to a rescue station, - Call the PC Course, - Ask someone else to call the PC Course. Each walker is obliged to assist any person in danger and to prevent rescue. In case of necessity, for reasons always in the interest of the rescued person, firefighters will be called upon to take over the direction of the operations and implement all appropriate means, including helicopters. The expenses resulting from the use of these exceptional means shall be covered by the rescued person who shall also ensure his return from the point where he has been evacuated. It is the sole responsibility of the walker to constitute and submit a file to his personal insurance within the time limit. If it is impossible to reach the PC Course, the emergency number is 112. It is strictly forbidden to leave the marked trail for any reason. Any walker who voluntarily leaves the marked course is no longer under the responsibility of the Organization. On each part of the route that crosses public roads, each participant must comply with the Highway Code and will be solely responsible for any breach of these rules. 3.3. Judges on the course Judges authorized by the Organization will travel on the course to verify compliance with the double support rule. Each participant is required to maintain a minimum of two supports (2 feet, 2 sticks or 1 foot / 1 stick) on the ground throughout the course. Any participant not complying with this rule will have to make a penalty loop of about 200m per lap. If the Nordic Chrono Walk NordicWalkin Lyon 2017 Regulations # page 7
walker violates the double-back rule more than three times, he will be disqualified. 3.4. Control stations and refreshment points A check can be carried out upon arrival at any rescue or refueling station. Unannounced check-points may be set up in places other than emergency and refueling stations. Their location is not communicated by the Organization. Only walkers with visible bibs have access to the refueling stations. All the refreshments will be complete: drinks and food. Bins are placed in large numbers on each refueling station and must imperatively be used. Any walker caught deliberately throwing his waste on the course will be immediately disqualified. 3.5. Maximum allowed time and hourly barriers The Nordic Walk will be made up of 3 loops of 3.5km with a 35 meter positive vertical gain on each loop, in a limited time of 2.20 hours (4.5km / h on average). In the event of bad weather conditions and / or for safety reasons, the Organization reserves the right to cancel and / or stop the current event or even to modify the time barriers as of right. Chapiter 4: Racing incidents 4.1. Abandonment and repatriation Unless injured, a walker must not leave the race at any point, except at a checkpoint. He must then inform the manager of the post, who will definitively invalidate his number. He will nevertheless have to bring his chip back to the finish. Systematically and obligatorily, a walker who has abandoned will notify the PC Course himself (by telephone or by text message). The possible repatriation will be decided with the head of post. Any person who has left the race before completing it and without notifying the Organization will have to bear any research expenses incurred as a result of his disappearance. 4.2. Anti-dop control Any competitor may be subject to doping control before, during or at the finish of the event. In the event of refusal or abstention, the Athlete will be sanctioned in the same way as if he were convicted of doping. Any positive control will result in the exclusion of the events organized by KCIOP for life. 4.3. Penalties Race commissioners and technical judges present on the course, as well as heads of posts at the various checkpoints and refreshment points, are entitled to enforce the above regulation and to immediately apply a penalty in the event of non-compliance with Regulation. Technical Penalties: Refer to the technical regulations of the event which allows each participant to absorb the pedagogical spirit that the organization wishes to put in place for this event. Any other breach of the rules will be sanctioned by the Race Jury. 4.4. Claims Claims are admissible in writing within 60 minutes after the provisional results are posted. The jury (Organizer) is empowered to rule within the time limit compatible with the requirements of the race on all disputes or disqualifications that have occurred during the event. Decisions are final. 4.5. Modifications to the course or the time barriers Cancellation of the race The organization reserves the right to modify the route and locations of the rescue and refreshment points at any time without prior notice. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions (large amounts of rain, strong wind, strong thunderstorms...), the departure can be postponed by a few hours at most; Beyond that, the race is canceled. In the case of force majeure (especially in the event of bad weather conditions and for safety reasons), the Organization reserves the right to stop the current event or to modify the time barriers. In case of cancellation of an event, for whatever reason, decided more than 15 days before the date of departure, a partial refund of the registration fees will be made. The amount of the reimbursement will be set so as to enable the Organization to meet all unrecoverable costs incurred on the date of cancellation. In case of cancellation decided less than 15 days before departure or in case of interruption of the race, for whatever reason, no refund of registration will be made. Chapiter 5: Rankings and Awards Only individual walkers who have crossed the finish line in the allotted time and having completed the entire course will be considered "Finishers". No cash bonus is distributed. A general classification is established. A podium will reward the first 3 men / women scratch and the first 3 in each category (male / female) for each event. Chapiter 6: Various 6.1. Insurances Civil liability: In accordance with the legislation in force, the Organizer has taken out insurance covering the financial consequences of its civil liability, that of its employees and all participants in the Nordic Chrono Walk. With regard to the civil liability of the participants, the intervention of this insurance for the latter is limited to accidents that they could cause during the course of the sporting event. Moreover, this guarantee will be in addition to or in the absence of other insurance which they could otherwise benefit from. A voucher can be sent to any participant upon request. Individual accident: An individual accident insurance can be purchased from any organization at the choice of the competitor, and in particular from the "Impact Multisports" insurance at the price of 2,90 tax inclusive (day insurance). Yo subscribe directly via the website: www.assurance-multi-sports.com Individual insurance can be taken out at the time of the pick-up of the bib upon request from the Organizer at a price of 2.90 per tax inclusive. The guarantees are available on the Impact Multisport website. Damage to material: The Organizer declines all responsibility for damage (theft, breakage, loss, etc.) suffered by the participants' personal property, even if they have custody of them. The participants will not be able to turn against the organizer for any damage caused to their equipment. It is up to each of us to take out insurance to guarantee these risks. 6.2. Image Rights By participating in the Nordic Chrono Walk, each competitor expressly authorizes the Organization or cause to use or reproduce ones name, image, voice and sports performance in the context of the Nordic Chrono Walk for any Operation in any form or by any means known or unknown to date and for the duration of protection currently granted to such direct or derived Laws or regulations, judicial and / or arbitration decisions of any country, as well as current or future international conventions, including any extensions that may be made to that duration. 6.3. CNIL The information communicated to the Organization is necessary for participation in the Nordic Chrono Walk. They are subject to computer processing and are intended for the secretary of the Organization. In accordance with article 34 of law 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms, each walker has the right to access and rectify personal data concerning them.
