Look no further. The Neighborhood Recreation Center offers a variety of programs including special events, games, tournaments, arts and crafts, and physical activities. The goal is to provide a safe, fun and supervised alternative for youths after school. IMPORTANT! This is a drop-in program. Youths come and go as they please. FUN ZONE MEMBERSHIP - $3 per month All youths must be registered by a parent or guardian. Children must have a membership card in their possession to participate. If a participant s card is lost or stolen, a new card must be purchased. Replacement cards cost $3. FREE THROW SHOOTING CONTEST Two age divisions. First place receives a two-year Fun Zone membership and trophy! Second place receives a one-year Fun Zone membership and trophy. Grab a friend, and join this high energy class! AGES 4-10 Tue 6:30pm-7:30pm $15 INTERMEDIATE BALLET - Instructor: North Star Dance This class is for participants with at least one year of prior experience in ballet and tap. Children should be able to do the basics as requested by the instructor. AGES 6-14 Sat 12:30pm-1:30pm $15 JAZZ I - Instructor: North Star Dance This class is a combination of fast, energetic dance moves performed with a variety of upbeat music. Expect a modern mix of lyrical ballet and hip hop styles incorporating basic jazz with musical interpretation. AGES 6-10 Sat 11:30am-12:30pm $15 FITNESS/EXERCISE The Neighborhood Recreation Center provides the opportunity to increase the fitness level of your entire family. Comfortable clothing and bottled water are suggested. CLASSES HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD RECREATION CENTER Fill out a class household information card and pay the required fees at the center. You are not enrolled into the class until you have: 1) signed the waiver on the back of the household information card, 2) your fees have been paid, and 3) you have received your receipt. You also may register online starting the first day of registration. Look for the class registration link under Online Services on the City s website, cityofnorthlasvegas.com Please note: The City of North Las Vegas reserves the right to prorate class fees as necessary due to holidays, etc. DANCE Comfortable clothing and bottled water is suggested for most classes. Ballet & Tap students must supply their own ballet and tap shoes. Leotards are suggested. BALLET & TAP - Instructor: North Star Dance This is the perfect class for children who want to explore the world of ballet and tap. Students will learn the fundamentals of dance in a fun and creative setting. AGES 3-5 Wed 4:00pm-5:00pm $15 3-5 Sat 9:30am-10:30am $15 BALLET & TAP - Instructor: North Star Dance This class is for participants with at least three sessions of experience. The class is an extension of Level One and will elaborate on dance routines learned in the beginning classes. AGES 3-5 Wed 5:00pm-6:00pm $15 BALLET & TAP - Instructor: North Star Dance Perfect for beginning dancers. Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet and tap in a fun and creative setting while having a great time with friends. AGES 6-10 Sat 10:30am-11:30am $15 BOOT CAMP AEROBICS - Instructor: Janet Mantilla Join the ultimate circuit workout, which combines cardio drills with muscle conditioning drills. Enjoy a variety of classes using jump ropes, boxing drills, relay races and even a little healthy competition. These high-intensity classes will help you to burn between 400-600 calories per session. Suitable for all levels, but let the instructor know if this is your first time in class. AGES 17+ Tue 5:00pm-6:00pm $15 17+ Thu 5:00pm-6:00pm $15 CHEERLEADING 101 - Instructor: North Star Dance Have you ever dreamed of being a cheerleader? This is your opportunity to learn the basics of cheerleading: jumps, sidelines, cheers and dance moves. AGES 3-8 Tue 5:30pm-6:30pm $15 KARATE I - Instructor: Stephanie Gorden This class offers a style of martial arts that combines Goju-Shorei, Shoto-Kan, Tae Kwon Do, BKF Kenpo and Jujitsu. During the training process, students will learn self defense, self-discipline and respect for others. AGES 6+ Tue/Thu 5:30pm-6:30pm $27 KARATE II - Instructor: Stephanie Gorden This class is an extension of Karate I. The instructor s permission is required to enroll. Learn more advanced moves in the disciplines of Goju-Shorei, Shoto- Kan, Tae Kwon Do, BKF Kenpo and Jujitsu. Must have an orange belt or higher. Safekey is offered at school sites and provides a variety of activities and social events such as arts and crafts, fitness activities and physical games that are facilitated by trained staff. Children may work on homework during supervised free play time during the hours of Safekey, but we cannot enforce the completion of homework or ensure that it is done correctly. Safekey is a recreation-based program; we do not offer tutoring or homework help. This is to ensure that children are not misadvised on homework. You must sign your child in and out daily. The person who is scheduled to pick up the child must be listed on the participation form and must show proper identification. Every child must have a new Safekey participation form on file for the 2017-18 school year. PREPAID SAFEKEY PROGRAM Safekey is a prepaid program. Each child must have an appropriate morning or afternoon pass on their account before they can attend. If no passes are purchased, the child will be sent to the school s office. A $10 late pick-up fee is assessed for every 10-minute increment the child stays past the scheduled program time, beginning at 6:01 p.m. The late fee is due at the time of pick up or before the participant returns to the program. REFUND POLICY Once payment has been received, there will be no refunds; credits will be given. A pass may be transferred if notice of non-attendance is given in advance. The City of North Las Vegas Par 3 Golf Course and DiscGolfPark operates a 9-hole par 3 golf course and an 18-hole professional disc golf park. It is open seven days a week and offers the best value in the Las Vegas Valley. Open year round, both courses can be enjoyed by golfers of all ages and abilities. The club is especially user-friendly for seniors and beginners. The length of the Par 3 course is not intimidating, and there are no artificial hazards. At the same time, the small greens present a challenge for more accomplished players. Our professionally designed disc golf park offers the fun and challenges that every disc golfer craves! Both courses are well maintained and offer gently rolling terrain with many mature trees and a great view of the Las Vegas Valley. Ours was the first lighted course in Nevada. Golfers can tee off as late as 4:30 pm in fall and 8:30 pm in summer. A small coffee shop and a pro shop that features top of the line ball and disc golf products are located in the clubhouse. The Sticks for Kids program provides as many children as possible with a set of golf clubs to use while learning to play the game. The North Las Vegas Par 3 Golf Course is proud to offer Sticks for Kids clubs for use at no cost. See Pro Shop staff for more information. SPECIAL PROGRAMS The Par 3 Golf Course is a Boy Scouts Merit Badge-Cub Scouts Loop & Pin certified location. Please call and book an individual tee time for a trooper or a group time for an entire troop. We encourage parent participation and supervision while troopers fulfill their requirements to obtain their badge or loop and pin. EDGE is a curriculum-based program that teaches youths about the sport of disc golf. The Educational Disc Golf Experience will run in conjunction with local schools and recreation centers during the winter, spring and summer months. TOURNAMENTS The Par 3 Golf Course hosts multiple tournaments throughout the year. Tournaments may be organized by the city through leagues, or the course may be reserved for private use. LEAGUES The Par 3 golf course is looking forward to introducing formalized leagues for men, women and children ages 6-17 in support of the Sticks for Kids program. These leagues will meet once a week. Golfers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join. MERCHANDISE The Par 3 Golf Course Pro Shop has both ball golf and disc golf products for sale. The Pro Shop features full sets of clubs, as well as wedges, putters, gloves and balls, in addition to the latest disc golf discs and products. GOLF LESSONS The City of North Las Vegas is proud to offer golf lessons for beginner to intermediate golfers. Classes are held once a week, for 6 weeks. Beginner classes are $50 and meet for 60 minutes and intermediate classes are $60 and meet for 90 minutes. Private lessons are now available at various times on weekdays for $25 per hour. These are non-group lessons for all ages 6+ with one instructor to one student instruction. The lessons are for a 6-week period, at 60 minutes in length per week for $75 in total. Clubs are available at no additional charge for participant use during lesson time. Reservation fees: $50/hr (peak) $17/hr (off-peak) $70/hr (holiday) CRAIG RANCH REGIONAL PARK EVENT AND OPEN SPACE RENTALS Craig Ranch Regional Park has multiple open space features, a state-of-the-art Amphitheater, event plazas, a 65,000 square-foot skate park and parking lots that can be reserved and configured to fit the needs of your next event. Fees for each area vary depending on the size and the scope of the event. Please contact the Park Office for more information or to submit a request form. 11

CANCELLATION POLICY AND REFUNDS: Any changes to your reservation must be made to the Park Office no less than 14 days prior to the reservation date to receive any form of refund. A refund of 50% will be issued if event is cancelled in person or in writing at least 14 days prior to the reservation date (30 days prior required for open space rentals). Refunds will be made only when proper cancellation procedures are followed. Refunds may take up to 4-6 weeks to be processed. The City of North Las Vegas will issue a refund if the event is cancelled by our department for the full amount, less any costs directly incurred by the City. A $25.00 fee will be assessed to the issuer for all checks returned to the department for insufficient funds. Applications for the Community Garden are available online or in person at the Craig Ranch Park Office. The annual fee is $150 per plot and includes water usage. FARMERS MARKET: On the Ranch Farmers and Artisan Market is open every Sunday (rain, shine and holidays) inside Craig Ranch Regional Park. Summer hours are 8:00am-1:00pm through September. Fall hours are 9:00am-2:00pm. Get farm fresh organic and conventionally grown produce and honey, along with locally made spices, sauces, oils, vinegars, kettle corn and Hawaiian shaved ice.
