He touched the lives of so many. There are no answers why God took such a sweet young child but he must ve needed an extra player on the polo team in heaven. When Matthew was six years old we stumbled across a polo match and he decided that that s what he wanted to do. He participated in every single children s tournament here in Wellington and also a few tournaments in Boston and he even qualified for the NYTS tournament finals that he did not get the chance to play in. He was hoping that one day he would even be able to play in the 40 Goal challenge, that was quite a goal. One of the most important places and people in Matthews life was our Pony Express family. We were always part of the team and always part of the friendships and families there and we are forever grateful. Matthew would say, all of this for me? He would be so touched to know that he s being honored today. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Melinda Cohen Michelle La Fromboise Sadly Michelle lost her brave battle with cancer a couple weeks ago. Michelle was a free spirit with a gypsy soul. Michelle had a great love for family friends and all animals. Michelle s mother expressed her gratitude to the Polo Players Support Group and all the generous people who contribute to the success of the Nespresso 40 Goal. Thanks to all of you the PPSG was able to help Michelle in the last year of her life. Her friend, Trudy Erceg will join us for the opening throw in, representing Michelle LaFromboise. Trudy was Michelle s best friend. Port Mayaca - Today in the 12 Goal Lakes Cup at 1pm at Santa Clara, Beverly Polo vs Herradura Sarasota - Yesterday in the opening games of the USPA Robert A. Uihlein, Jr. Memorial Cup 12 Goal, Tito s defeated The Villages 11-9 and Wildcat defeated The Villages Polo 10-7.
