PAGE 4 San Antonio Live Stock Show Blaine Allen placed 4 th in his class of Limousin steers. There were 32 exhibitors in his class. He sold his steer in the San Antonio Livestock Exposition Junior Market Steer Auction on Saturday, February 27 th. Blaine had worked with his steer for nearly a year. Feeding, watering, washing, grooming, walking, etc. Congratulations to Blaine.

A multi county re fashion retreat will be held with Jackson, Victoria, DeWitt, Calhoun, and Lavaca counties on April 23rd at the Victoria 4 H Center. Participants will need to clear their schedule for the entire day. It is open for all 4 H ages. We will be meeting at the Victoria 4 H Center, travelling to a discount clothing store in Victoria, and will work on their article of clothing once we return from the discount clothing store. We ask that each 4H participant be accompanied by an adult. Please contact the Jackson County Extension Of ice to sign up if you are interested in attending or for more information. Club Updates! County Photography Contest! PAGE 7 The Jackson County Photography Contest will be judged on March 7th. The deadline to bring in photos is March 4th. You should bring an 8 x 10 photo in size to the Extension Office by 5pm March 4th. Judges will be here Monday, March 7th to judge. On March 8th everyone is welcome to come to the kitchen to see the photos and placings. The ones from junior/ intermediate with 1st place in each category will advance to District Photography. The Senior photographs placing 1st will advance straight to State. Make sure to label the photograph in the correct category.
