INTRODUCTION This booklet has been created by the East Riding County FA to provide you with information regarding Women and Girls football teams and playing opportunities in Hull and the East Riding. You will find information on local clubs, which teams they run and how to contact them. There are a number of female teams and playing opportunities within the County so there will definitely be a session or team near you! There is just one local girls league in the East Riding; the East Riding Girls Football League. This league consists of teams playing; 5-a-side, 7-a-side, 9-a-side and 11-a-side ranging from U8 to U16. Some of the girls teams within the East Riding, also play in the City of York Girl s Football League. The FA Skills Team run FA Skills Centres for players aged 5-11. There are also other informal playing opportunities for girls delivered by the Tigers Sport and Education Trust, they run sessions for girls aged 11+ as part of their Premier League for Sport Project. Hull City Ladies have launched this year a Player Development Centre to provide extra training on top of grassroots club football for those aged 9-16. The East Riding County Women s League also provides playing opportunities for open age teams. There are also a number of women s teams in our County playing at a higher level of the Women s Football Pyramid. Details of these can be found later in the booklet. If a more recreational offer is something you are looking to get involved in there are also a number of Women s Just Play sessions running across the County.
