This EDGA Premier Series tournament will bring down the curtain on the 2015 EDGA tournament season. RULES AND CONDITIONS OF PLAY Regulations: Entries will be accepted from players in possession of an EDGA medical pass and an officially recognised golf handicap approved by their NGB. Handicap limit: EDGA PREMIER series tournament 26.4 The players certify the exact handicap, and this should be forward with the competitors entry form and updated with a copy of the certificate upon arrival. Conditions of play: If the organisation receives less than five entries of female players, all female players will play in the general category. Male and females will play from the respective designated tournament tees In the event of a tie in any category there will be a sudden death play-off. The play off holes will be decided by the Organising Committee and will be subject to availability on the day. Any player to be found in breach of the tournament Code of Conduct will be disqualified. It is the responsibility of the players to make sure that they familiarise themselves with the Code of Conduct. EDGA will accept entries from a competitor who meets the eligibility criteria for a Premier Series event and has a current EDGA Pass. 1. A maximum of three players nominated by EDGA at its own discretion. 2. Two players nominated by each EDGA member country. 3. Players with lowest golf handicaps entered will make up the field. The final field will be informed by email and their entry confirmed on the website by the 15 th of October 2015. In the case that the field of 60 competitors is not complete, we will accept entries from eligible competitors on a first come, first served basis from the next golf handicap category. 26.5 to 36. Pestana have offered very preferential prices for their five star Vila Sol hotel and 27 holes golf course. The Portuguese Golf Federation have pledged their support to this EDGA Premier series event and will supply tournament and rules officials for the event.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS The player must be in the possession of a valid EDGA medical pass to enter the competition. All players participating in the event must hold an Active EGA or CONGU golf handicap to be able to complete in the "Nett" events. Professionals will only be able to play in the Gross division. Players must include a current handicap certificate with their entry form and produce their current handicap certificate at registration. It is each player s responsibility to have calculated their own handicap from CONGU to slope before arriving at the Tournament. It is not the responsibility of the organisers to do this calculation only to check that each player has done it correctly.
