HotCheer AllStars HotCheer AllStars Wolf's Gym Be a part of the HotCheer AllStar Family Since our first practice in the spring of 2000, it has been our goal to be the best cheerleading training center in Western Pennsylvania. With an emphasis on the whole athlete, we prepare our cheerleaders physically, mentally and emotionally for a very competitive sport. We respect and foster each person s abilities while striving to bring out the best in our athletes and teams. Whether in their professional or social lives, teamwork is a lifetime lesson, and is the most valuable lesson we teach our members. At HotCheer AllStars we strive to be the very best. Our athletes excel in the sport of competitive cheerleading and this is reflected in their team performances and competition results. Succeeding competitively is a goal of ours, but we, at HotCheer AllStars, want our athletes to experience successes on and off of the cheerleading floor. We expect our athletes to be courteous, honest, determined, respectful and have high self-esteem. We have collected countless trophies, banners, medals and jackets to fill our gym, but we are most proud of the life lessons that we have been able to give to the athletes in our program.
Team Placement Information Our placement process is as low-stress as possible. The athletes will work with others in their age group and are given multiple opportunities to demonstrate their skills in a practice-like environment. After the final date of team placements, the staff will meet extensively to assemble the rosters for the upcoming season. The staff will work together to come up with teams that each have the best possible chance of a successful competitive season. After our meetings are complete, we will post teams by placement numbers on our website. Teams will be announced May 15 th. Online registration/commitment will be available until May 21 st. The new teams will begin practice in June. Athletes should wear a black tank top, black shorts and cheer shoes. You may wear sneakers if you do not own cheer shoes. Expectations Time Commitment Practices are incredibly important to the success of our teams. Our practices are mandatory. Most teams typically practice twice a week. As competition season nears, we may call extra practices beyond a team s normal schedule. We do excuse a limited number of absences (during the summer for vacations & during the school year for school activities that result in a grade) and sickness. We must be notified of these in advance and request for you to attend if you are not actively throwing up. You do not have to participate but need to watch for changes in the routine that affect you. As we get closer to our major competitions, we get much less lenient about the types of excuses we allow. Practices during the week leading up to a travel event are absolutely mandatory. Sportsmanship Teaching the value and principles of good sportsmanship to our athletes is important to our program. We expect ALL members of the HotCheer family to exhibit positive sportsmanship at all times. Philosophy We try to make practices and competitions fun, rewarding and productive. We attempt to create a positive learning environment at HotCheer. If you have not seen one of our team practices, you might be surprised at how positive and enjoyable they can be. We expect our athletes to improve their technique and progress their skills through efficient practices, but they should have fun as well.
Program Costs Competitive cheerleading, while not as costly as some youth activities, can still be an expensive sport. Before you consider this or any program, please carefully consider the financial commitment involved. The difference in costs between our program and others is not as large as you may expect. In fact, if you factor in the costs of entry fees, summer camp/activities, booster club, and other expenses that are often paid for separately at other gyms, you may actually spend less per year than some other local programs. They may advertise a lower tuition rate only to have you pay significant extra amounts throughout the year for tumbling classes (ours are included in the monthly fee), competition entry fees (also included in our monthly fee), choreography or booster club. We want to do our best to make it affordable. At HotCheer AllStars, we are as up-front with our costs as possible. We have a set monthly price that covers practically most of the expenses that an athlete would normally incur throughout the year. This system makes planning much easier for our customers as you will know exactly how much is due and when.
