Gametime is 2 p.m. PST with the game to be televised on ESPN2. The Bulldogs will then head to New York for the second time this season to face Duke University on Dec. 21 at Madison Square Garden. The Bulldogs spent Thanksgiving in the Big Apple at the NIT after winning the West Region in the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. Gonzaga University enters Saturday s game coming out of finals week and coming off last Saturday s 97-77 home victory over then 8 th ranked University of Washington. The Bulldogs climbed to 16 th in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN polls with the impressive victory over their cross-state rivals. Gonzaga has won eight of the last nine meetings with the Huskies. Saturday s game between Gonzaga University and the University of Georgia will be played in the 13,000-seat The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga., located 20 miles north of Atlanta. The game was moved to the Gwinnett Center rather than being played in Atlanta s Phillips Arena because of a Dallas Cowboys-Atlanta Falcons football game being played at the Georgia Dome. The Dome and Phillips Arena share parking facilities which made it impossible to have two events in a short period of time. The basketball game starts at 5 p.m. EST, the football game at 8 p.m. EST. This will be Gonzaga University s second appearance in the Chick fil- A Classic For Kids, the Bulldogs falling to the University of Georgia 95-83 on Dec. 15, 2002, at Atlanta s Phillips Arena. Georgia returned the game the following year, losing to Gonzaga 82-76 in overtime in the Spokane Arena in UGA head coach Dennis Felton s first year. Those are the only two meetings in the series. For the second time this season Gonzaga University s Bulldogs will be facing a team with the same moniker, but this time Gonzaga will be hoping for different results. Gonzaga fell to the Bulldogs of Butler University 79-71 in the championship game of the Dick s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip Off in Madison Square Garden. It will also be Georgia s second meeting of the year against a team of Bulldogs, defeating Garden-Webb University s Bulldogs 96-67. Gonzaga University might be hoping a long layoff will be a bit too long for the University of Georgia after the latter had its game scheduled for last Saturday against Kennesaw State University was postponed and re-scheduled for Feb. 14 because the game fell during UGA s fall semester final exam period. That will give Georgian an 11-day layoff since its last outing against Gardner-Webb University. Gonzaga, meanwhile, played last Saturday against the University of Washington. Gonzaga University is 3-3 all-time against Gonzaga versus Southeastern Conference schools. The Bulldogs are 1- the SEC 1 against both the University of Georgia and the TEAM GU RECORD University of Florida, 1-0 against Mississippi State Georgia 1-1 University and 0-1 against the University of Kentucky. Florida 1-1 Georgia was the last SEC team Gonzaga played during Mississippi St. 1-0 the 2004 season at the Spokane Arena, an 82-76 Kentucky 0-1 TOTAL 3-3 Gonzaga win in overtime. Last Saturday s game in the McCarthey Athletic Center was Gonzaga University s lone home game in the month of December. The Bulldogs began the month against the University of Texas on Dec. 2 at the College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic in Phoenix, Ariz., had a game at Washington State University on Dec. 5 and, following Saturday s game, will finish the month with games Dec. 21 against Duke University in Madison Square Garden and Dec. 30 in The Battle in Seattle against the University of Nevada.

That streak is the longest current streak in the NCAA Division I ranks. The Bulldogs are 33-0 in the 3-year-old McCarthey Athletic Center and won their final 12 home games next door in The Kennel. Since beginning the streak Feb. 22, 2003, with a 69-60 win over Tulsa University, the Bulldogs have also played and won - six games at the downtown Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. That gives the Bulldogs a 51-game winning streak in the city of Spokane. The last time the Bulldogs lost in Spokane was Feb. 19, 2003, to the University of Portland 72-68 in The Kennel. Derek Raivio became the 29 th member of Gonzaga University s 1,000-point club earlier this season and now has 1,067 career points to rank 25 th. John Kinloch (1993-93) is 24 th with 1,071 points. His 7-for-14 effort from 3-point range against the University of Texas were single-game marks for the senior. His previous high of six 3-pointers made came in 2005 when he set his career high of 32 points against Santa Clara University, going 6-for-9 from beyond the arc that night. He had 10 3-point attempts in several games prior to his 14 attempts. His 195 career treys rank fifth and his 453 attempts are fifth. His 122 career steals are sixth and his 292 career assists are 10 th. He s also scored 20 or more points in eight straight games, having never scored 20 points in back-to-back games until this stretch. Bulldog Bites FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DECEMBER 12, 2006 Gonzaga University head coach Mark Few changed his lineup for the first time this season against the University of Washington last weekend, inserting freshman guard Matt Bouldin and junior forward David Pendergraft in to the lineup in place of junior guard Pierre Marie Altidor-Cespedes and senior forward Sean Mallon, respectively. It was the first career start for Bouldin and the second career nod for Pendergraft and his first since Jan. 22, 2005, at the University of San Diego when he started in place of Adam Morrison. Freshman Matt Bouldin made the best of his first career start last Saturday against the University of Washington, posting a season-high 21 points on a 9-for-12 night from the field in 31 minutes. He had gone just 3-for-23 from the field over the four previous games. He also dished out 5 assists and had just two turnovers against the Huskies. The native of Highlands Ranch, Colo., leads the Bulldogs in assist-to-turnover ration at 1.65. Senior guard Derek Raivio is the West Coast Conference men's basketball November Player of the Month. The native of Vancouver, Wash., helped lead Gonzaga to a 7-1 record in the month of November as he scored in double-digits in seven of the eight games, including six games of 20-plus points. He began the season with 21 points against Eastern Washington University, then posted back-to-back 21-point performances in the Bulldogs wins over the University of Texas-San Antonio and then second-ranked University of North Carolina in the semifinals of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip Off. He rounded out the month by scoring 20 points versus Butler University in the NIT title game - the Bulldogs lone blemish in the month - 24 points versus the University of Idaho and 20 points against Portland State University. For the month, Raivio averaged 18.9 points per game to go along with 4.5 rebounds per game and 2.3 assists per game. Jeremy Pargo has grabbed at least three rebounds in 10-of-11 games this season, including a season-high 6 against Rice University. He s also handed out at least six assists in four of the last five games 6 versus the University of Idaho, the University of Texas and the University of Washington, and 7 against Portland State University. His low game in that stretch was 4 against Washington State University. Derek Raivio has made 29 straight free throws since missing his final attempt against the University of North Carolina. "We got some offense, we got some size and we got some athleticism. This is a talented group." Gonzaga is tied for eighth for the longest active NCAA Tournament Appearances Streak. The Bulldogs made their eighth straight appearance in 2006, joining Wisconsin, Texas and Florida. Arizona extended its streak to 22 with last spring s selection, followed by Kansas (17), Kentucky (15), Duke (11) and Michigan State (9). Streaks that ended in 2006 were Cincinnati (14), Stanford (11) and Oklahoma State (8). Gonzaga has extended its streak of consecutive games with a 3-pointer to 436. The last time the Bulldogs failed to hit a trey was Jan. 27, 1993, going 0-for-5 at home against Portland. UNLV held the all-time streak of 601 entering the current season.

Is the winningest active coach in the NCAA Division I ranks by percentage with a 197-43 record for a winning percentage of.821. Roy Williams of North Carolina is second in his 19 th season, a record of 500-125 and a winning percentage of.800. Has never won less than 20 games in a season through his first seven years. Heading into the current season he was tied for 10 th with four others on the Current Most Consecutive Division I 20-Win Seasons list with seven, and knotting him for 17 th with two others on the Most Consecutive Division I 20-Win Seasons list for either active or inactive coaches. Lute Olson of Arizona heads both lists with 19 seasons. Tied for 15 th among NCAA Division I coaches as the fastest to reach 100 wins, coming in his 126 th game and in his fourth year in 2003. Doc Meanwell of Wisconsin and Missouri did it the quickest, taking just 109 games and reaching the milestone in his 7 th season. Became first coach in 46 years to win five straight West Coast Conference Coach of the Year awards in 2004, then became the only WCC coach to win six such honors when he repeated in 2005 and 06. Heading into this season, only Gonzaga and Duke have lost less than 10 games in each of the past eight seasons. Gonzaga has posted marks of 28-7, 26-9, 26-7, 29-4, 24-9, 28-3, 26-5 and 29-4, respectively, in that stretch. The last time Gonzaga hit double-digits in the L column was 1998 with a 20-10 campaign. Became one of just two coaches to lead a team into the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen in their first two years as head coach (2000-01) since the bracket expanded to 64 teams in 1985. Through the efforts of Mark, his wife Marcy, and assistant coaches wives Nicole Grier, Robin Rice and Chanelle Lloyd surpassed the $1 million mark in 2005 for Coaches vs. Cancer through the BasketBALL and Gala held in Spokane. The event features a celebrity golf tournament, and black tie dinner and auction. Only Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim has raised more money in the Coaches vs. Cancer effort.
