The Championships was Inaugurated by Sri.M.B.Huchagondar, Physical Education Director, JSSCW, Saraswathipuram, Mysuru. Dr.G.L.Shekar, Principal presided. Sri.Huchagondar stressed the need for fair play and Dr.Shekar impressed upon participants to indulge more in Sports to keep fit and release stress of Engineering academics. Col.N.G.Krishna Prasad, a distinguished alumnus and serving colonel of Indian Army, former NIE Badminton team Captain was the Chief Guest for the valediction.
