Dear Friends, I am excited to share the sponsorship information for the 2015 Mario Lemieux Celebrity Invitational presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, June 24 25, 2015, at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. All proceeds from the event will once again benefit the cancer research and patient care initiatives of the Mario Lemieux Foundation. Unbelievably, this will be our eighth year enjoying the hospitality of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and one of the nation s finest golf courses, Mystic Rock Golf Course. Over the years, I have been fortunate that many of my celebrity friends have given their time to help my Foundation raise funds people like Michael Jordan, Marcus Allen, Sidney Crosby, Ben Roethlisberger, Dan Marino, Jerome Bettis and many others. I am very appreciative of their continued support. Most importantly, it is the generous sponsors of this event that allow the Mario Lemieux Foundation to continue many important projects in cancer research and patient care. In 2014, the Foundation established the Mario Lemieux Lymphoma Center for Children and Young Adults with a $2.5M gift to Children s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Additionally, the Foundation opened three new Austin s Playrooms in 2014, expanding the total number of Austin s Playrooms to 31 since the Project s inception in 2000. The cutoff date for room reservations is Monday, June 8. The credit can be used for an approval list of activities, which include additional night s accommodations, dinner at any of Nemacolin s spectacular eateries, and recreational activities. The credit can only be used from Tuesday, June 23 through Sunday, June 28.
