Schuil was a three-time Dutch Volleyball Olympian with a 1996 gold medal in Atlanta. Nummerdor was a two-time Dutch Volleyball Olympian and played with Schuil on the 2000 and 2004 teams that placed fifth in Sydney and Athens. Nummerdor and Schuil were the first Dutch men s team and players to win SWATCH FIVB World Tour gold medals at the 2007 Bahrain, 2008 Croatia and Dubai stops, and last week on the Finnish Isle of Aland. Nummerdor and Schuil ranked 22nd in career SWATCH earnings (US$473,800). Nummerdor and Schuil were gold medal winners at the 2008 European Championships in Hamburg, Germany. Overall,Nummerdor and Schul have won five European tour gold medals with 11 podium placements and 12 final four finishes in 14 events. In addition to the Hamburg title, Nummerdor and Schuil won other European tour titles in Gran Canaria, Blackpool and Sochi. Nummerdor and Schuil have posted a 26-2 record for five events on the 2008 European tour with a 17-match winning streak. Nummerdor and Schuil have not competed on the European tour this season as the pair has compiled a 62-15 record the past three season on the continental circuit. Herrera is a two-time Beach Volleyball Olympians with a silver medal at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games with Javier Bosma after losing the finale to Emanuel Rego and Ricardo Santos of Brazil 21-16 and 21-15 in 43 minutes. Herrera and Raul Mesa placed ninth at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Herrera has won two SWATCH FIVB World Tour events, including a 2004 title with Bosma in Lianyungang, China, and a 2008 crown with Mesa in Kristiansand, Norway. Herrera and Mesa won the Gold medal at the 2002 SWATCH FIVB World Championships for players under the age of 21 in Catania, Italy. Herrera and Mesa won the silver medal at the 2001 SWATCHFIVB World Championships for players under the age of 21 in Le Lavandou, France. Herrera and Mesa won the gold medal winners at the 2005 European Championships in Moscow, Russia. Gavira and Francisco Marco were second at a 2006 FIVB Challenger in Cyprus. Gavira and Alejandro Fernandez were second at the 2007 SWATCH FIVB World Championships for players under the age of 21 in Modena, Italy.
