I see average temps between 160 and 180. Never seen over 190 and never broke a belt. I can completely control my belt temperatures with the Razorback gauge. I don t really notice any unusual temperature issues. This gauge makes it simple to know what is going on. Desert roads 105 Average 160 and Highest 185 Most of the driving was high speed 2wd (55+ mph) for 30 minute stretches. Belt temps are pretty typical for us in these conditions. I notice that the belt temp will hold pretty steady for us around 160 if we are cruising around 50 mph. 70 s 147 at 40 mph on fire roads. 60 mph slight inclines high of 179. 45 mph 140-160s. 125 when cruising on street at 30 mph Belt would breach the 225 mark in long hard pulls. Flatter gravel roads to access the steep mountain trails. Western & Central Nevada 70-90 Average: 150 on trails. Highest: 170 at 70 mph on flat, gravel road. Belt still good. 5
Belt starts off showing average of 130-140 on flat trails. After 30 minutes (or sooner on steep trails), temp hits 150 and stays there on average trails. May reach 160-170 on really long, steep climbs (with 600 lbs. Of passengers/gear). At 70 mph on flat roads, temp stays around 170. Have not pushed beyond 70 mph. Stock clutch I was averaging 240 and 270 spikes and would not cool off fast enough. 85 Average 135 Highest 162 2013 Maverick XRS 1000 27 Sand Slinger Paddle Tires Whoops in Sand Trails 72 Average 200 Highest 240 Temperature hit 266 when the Belt Broke I was running about 200-210 through the trails taking it easy and I pulled hard through the whoops going into the gate at the dunes. The temp spiked within 10 sec. and with the added stress from hitting the whoops at 30-40 mph the belt blew. 2015 XDS Turbo N/A 10
