Rules from the current USA Swimming Technical Rules will be in effect. Entries must be submitted electronically using Hy-Tek or compatible Software. Eligibility: YMCA National Rules will govern this meet. S wimmers must be a full member of the YMCA they are representing. The New Year, New Times Invitational held by the Oneida Family YMCA shall be a closed competition as that term is defined in the Rules That Govern YMCA Competitive Sports. All swimmers entered into the meet must have previously represented their YMCA in YMCA closed competition meets. All teams must be currently registered through the YMCA Online Team Registration system in order to participate in the meet. All coaches must show current certifications in the following safety courses in order to be permitted on deck at a YMCA Sanctioned Championship Meet: First Aid, CPR and Safety Training for Swim Coaches OR Lifeguard. Coaches may show their current YMCA coach credential, current USA Swimming coach credential or the individual current certification cards. Swimming Events: All events will be swum as timed finals. Swimmers and coaches are responsible for knowing the events for which they are entered. POSITIVE CHECK-IN: Session 2 By 10:45 AM - FOR ALL EVENTS (500 Freestyle, 200 Butterfly, 200 Backstroke, 200 Breaststroke and 400 IM) Session 3 By 1:30 PM - FOR 1000 and 1650 Freestyle Warm-Ups: Because of the large number of injuries occurring across the country during warm-ups, USA Swimming allows no diving into the pool during the warm-up period except in the designated sprint lanes. We ask that you inform your swimmers of this rule and ask them to fully cooperate with the club officials and marshals in charge of the area. Warm-up procedures will be posted to the web prior to the meet. Officials : This YMCA Sanctioned Meet will be run under USA Swimming Technical Rules. This YMCA Sanctioned Meets will be officiated by YMCA certified officials. USA-S certified officials may assist in the officiating and are encouraged to do so. A meet of this size and caliber requires many workers to make it run efficiently. The Dolphins welcome anyone who would like to assist with officiating during this meet. Timers: Timers will be provided by the Oneida Dolphins. Swimmers must provide their own timers for any Session 2 (mid-session) events as well as the 1,000 and the 1,650 at the conclusion of Session 3.
Meet Policy: Use of Audio or Visual Recording Devices, Including a Cell Phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Any swimmer found in an unauthorized area will be asked to immediately leave the premises. No exceptions. Each team is responsible for supervising its members. Services: Food will be on sale throughout the meet. No food or drink will be allowed on deck. A swimming equipment vender will be selling equipment during the meet. This is a non-smoking building. No glass containers are allowed in the pool area. Disabled Athletes: Athletes with disabilities are required to contact the Meet Director at least 2 weeks in advance of the meet so that provisions can be made for any special accommodations. Entry Fees: The entry fees are $5.00 per individual event and $10.00 per relay plus a $5.00 per swimmer surcharge. Payment: An entry summary sheet is included to compute your team entry fees. Take a left onto Route 46 and travel route 46 until you see Colgate University (approximately 20 miles). The Pool will be on your left which is directly across from the ice rink and athletic facility for Colgate University. Parking: There is limited parking in the pool parking lot. There is additional parking directly across the street at the athletic facility.
