Winnipeg Jets: Media Notes WINNIPEG JETS vs. LOS ANGELES KINGS MTS Centre Tuesday, October 7, 5 7: PM (CT) Game 9 (5--) Home Game 5 (--) GAME PREVIEW In the fifth game of the Winnipeg Jets (5--) current six-game homestand, they will face the Los Angeles Kings (5-3-). The Kings started the season with three straight loses, but have now won their last five games. Jeff Carter is leading the Kings with seven points (3G, 4A). The Jets and Kings met three times last season, with the Jets taking two of the three meetings, winning one at home and one on the road. Blake Wheeler led the Jets against the Kings with four points (G, A) through those three games. The Jets franchise has hosted the Kings times before, and has a record of 6-4- against them. TEAM NOTES Tuesday = game day The Jets will play over per cent of their games this season on Tuesday nights. Of the team s 8 games, 7 will occur on Tuesdays, which is more than any other night of the week. Ten of those games will be played at home including tonight s matchup against the Kings and the other seven will be on the road. Winnipeg played 8 total Tuesday night games last season (also the most of any day of the week) and in those games the Jets went 3-5-. Wednesdays are the night the Jets will play the fewest games, only six, with three at home, and three on the road.
