By Road VossVind is located right off E16. By bus or car 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Bergen, 5 hours drive from Oslo. By Train From Oslo, Norway: The Bergen Railway between Oslo and Voss is considered one of the world s most scenic train rides. There are four daily departures from Oslo and Bergen (Voss). The 5-hour journey brings you across one of Europe s highest mountain plateaus, and takes you through spectacular and varied nature. 3

From Bergen, Norway: Check out the timetable at https://nsb.no/ 5 Entry Fees & Registration Definition of Continental Regions Europe, as defined in the Sporting Code General Section (para 2.5.3): Comprising all the countries in and to the North of the Mediterranean Sea including adjacent island countries; and the countries to the West of the Caspian Sea; including Iceland, Ireland, Israel, all of Russia, Turkey, and the United Kingdom (Great Britain), but not including Iran (mentioned because it has a boundary on the West side of the Caspian Sea). **Please note: It is intended to apply Sporting Code General Section 4.1.3.1 for noneligible participants under the provision of SC5 4.5.3 giving priority to the completion to the competition, if vacancies are determined. Minimum - and maximum age for Junior competitors For all indoor skydiving disciplines, a junior competitor is a person over the age of 12 at the time of the competition or whose 13 th birthday occurs during the calendar year in which the relevant competition takes place. Under the age of 18 at the time of the competition. (FAI Sporting Code - Section 5, para 1.1.2) Minimum age for the Open Category events Junior competitors over the age of 15 or whose 15th birthday occurs during the calendar year in which the competition takes place may, if they choose, can enter an open category event. (IPC Competition Rules for Indoor Skydiving) Entry Fees Competition fees only competitors choose their own accommodation. Inclusions - Tunnel time including 3 minutes speed setting (competitors only) - Opening and closing ceremonies - Shuttle service between tunnel and downtown Voss - Lunch for the 3 days of competition - Social night - Entertainment, promotional items and gifts Fees are presented per team and note that at the time of payment, invoices will be generated per team and only one payment will be accepted. *If a competitor registers for more than one event, the additional team fee will be discounted by 50 EUR per each competitor who is already registered in another event, instead of the full entry fee being charged. The Sanction fee is only required to be paid once. Registration and payment procedure A valid 2018 FAI Sporting License is required via an electronic entry in the FAI data base and must be obtained through the competitor's NAC (National Airsport Control). All competitors must be registered by their NAC before completing the registration process with the Organiser. Step 1: PROVISIONAL ENTRY (for NAC`s) Each NAC will receive a secure PDF form to fill out with information regarding the teams representing their respective country, such as: Number of teams in each event/category. Name and birthdate of each team member. Name of team captain + his/her contact information. FAI sporting license numbers for each team member. Indication of team members participating in more than one event. Correct contact info on the receiver(s) of the invoice for payment. Deadline for provisional entry: January 16, 2018 Step 2: FINAL ENTRY Based on the information transferred by the NACs, each team captain will receive a secure PDF registration form by email and will be required to submit additional details and information needed by the Organisation. After final entry form is received, the Organiser will send an invoice to the correct receiver(s) for the payment. Final entry must be sent to eisc2018voss@gmail.com Deadline for final submission: February 20, 2018 **Please note that only NAC representatives can change the number of teams or team members registered. Late registration: March 1, 2018 We will accept entries after the deadline only if capacity allows. Registration fees will be increased by 20% for late entries after March 1, 2017. The Sanction fee will remain the same. 6 Wind tunnel facilities At VossVind The facility consists of one building with one floor including multi-purpose rooms and a bar with direct view of the tunnel. A set up for spectators will be available in the bar area. Our conference rooms will be made available to the judges panels for the duration of the event including before and during competition. Computers, video playback screens, printers and any other required equipment will be provided. There will be networked computers and printers located in the building that are accessible to competition staff. There will be internet access capable of serving many connected devices, with a closed circuit for judges, media and officials. 6

The building is equipped with toilets including both men s and women s facilities, and they will be available for judges and competition staff only. Registration for competitors will be conducted at VossVind. Competitors lounge and creeping area There will be areas setup for competitors, delegation members and accompanying persons outside of the main building; restaurant, lounge area and a quiet space for competitors to relax. It will be possible to watch the competition from a distance on large TV screens, which will show: * the internet Live stream. * the current rankings and video recaps generated by InTime scoring system. Wifi will also be provided. Public toilets including both men s and women s facilities will be set up outside the tunnel. Creeping area A heated tent will be set up for creeping, and preparation purposes only. Athletes will also be able to store their equipment in that area. Opening and closing ceremonies Opening and closing ceremonies, banquets, and social gatherings will be conducted downtown Voss. Downtown Voss is a 15 min walk from the tunnel and is a cozy village with lots of shops and some nice restaurants and cafeterias. 7 Wind tunnel details VossVind is an ISG (Indoor Skydiving Germany) tunnel with excellent wind conditions for all flyers. The flight chamber is 14 feet wide with 4 m height of glass. Tunnel antechamber can be entered while tunnel is running on low speed. The tunnel is capable of speeds of up to 300 km/h. The airspeed will be set per official competition rules. Our technology allows us to control the tunnel temperature regardless of external conditions. We guarantee that our tunnel is always comfortable to fly in. The tunnel has a bottom camera for VFS, top camera for FS and line-and front cameras for Artistic. An in-air music system will be available for competitors who wish to use it they must bring their own ear plugs. 8 Pre-event training Teams who arrive before the competition and would like to train at VossVind will be able to purchase 60-minute blocks of time at a rate of 500 EUR including taxes. The tunnel will be available for all competitors starting on Monday April 4, 2018. The minimum time that can be bought is a 15-minute block. 9 Accommodation details Voss is a tourist village with many options for accommodations. Accommodations for the judges and FAI/IPC officials will be provided at Park Hotel Vossevangen located at the lakefront downtown Voss, a 5-minute drive or 20 min walk from the tunnel. More information about Voss to be found at https://en.visitvoss.no/, or upon request to eisc2018voss@gmail.com. 10 Equipment Helmets All competitors are required to wear a helmet and equipment which is in conformity with Sporting Code Section 5 2017 edition (see section 16). Parachutes and mock parachute containers Parachutes and mock parachute containers are not permitted inside the flight chamber. Metal components It is forbidden to enter the flight chamber with exposed metal components, whether on helmets or any other equipment (including shoes). Plastic helmet mounts It is forbidden to enter the flight chamber with a plastic mount. 12 Judging & Scoring Judging Equipment Formation Skydiving and Artistic Events: InTime Scoring System Dynamic: Dynamr Competition results and playbacks will be shown on various TV screens at the tunnel as well as in the competitors lounge. The results will be published on http://ipc-wcresults.org.uk/ and http//eisc2018.com 13 Medical / emergency details VossVind will have a full time first aid and CPR trained persons on site for the duration of the event. Full ambulance and medical services are available through emergency services (113). Voss Hospital is 5 min away from VossVind by car. In addition to this, all of our instructors are first aid trained and available to assist, should anything happen. 14 Insurance details All competitors are responsible for their personal travel insurance, which should include health, disability, repatriation and third-party liability coverage to avoid large expenses. Any damage to hotel rooms, competitors lounge, opening & closing ceremony venue, etc. is the responsibility of the people involved if damage occurs. VossVind will not be held responsible for lost or stolen personal items and/or equipment. 15 Visa information There are no visa requirements for residents of the European Schengen area.
