Our challenge will see us spending three days in the saddle as we cycle 200 miles from the cultural capital of Italy to our finish line in the French Rivera. From the beauty of Tuscany to the magnificence on Monaco our cycling challenge takes us through the spectacular green and gold landscapes and Etruscan villages of Tuscany to the beauty of the principality of Monaco on the French Rivera. This tough cycle challenge takes us through the rolling Cypress tree lined Tuscan hills to the French Rivera, a stunning ride through the best Italy has to offer! PARTICIPATION IN THE TUSCANY TO MONACO CYCLE INCLUDES: Twin share hotel accommodation on the evenings of 21 st, 22 nd, 23 rd and 24 th Sept 17. Single rooms are available at a supplementary cost of 300 per person for the duration of the trip. Breakfast, lunch, evening meal and snacks on 22 nd, 23 rd and 24 th Sept 17. CYCLE ITINERARY T H UR SDAY 2 1 ST Participants will meet at Florence Airport and be transferred to their accomodation for the evening in the rustic town of San Gimignano. Dinner will be served at 7pm in the hotel and after dinner we will enjoy a briefing about the exciting challenge that lies ahead. FRI DAY 22 ND SATU R DAY 23 R D S U NDAY 24 TH It s not too long after leaving San Gimignano before we are cycling through the beautiful Tuscan countryside with its green and gold landscapes. With 137km of rolling hills to tackle today you will be pushed to your limits, but as you cycle along the undulating roads you will be amazed by the beautiful landscapes. After a short transfer from our hotel, today s route will see us cycle along the coast line. We may encounter some costal winds that will push our thighs and calves into a nice medium level of burn, as we keep our sights on the finish line in Monaco. After a hearty breakfast our charity ride begins! Today is the first day of cycling with 118km to complete so our challenge begins early in the morning. The day will be filled with calf burning miles and rolling hills, but you will be rewarded with beautiful views for your efforts as you head to your finish for the day in Forte dei Marmi. After breakfast in our hotel, we leave the sea town of Forte dei Marmi and head out to begin our longest day of cycling. After a long day we will reach the lovely town of Rapallo - a perfect place to relax after a tough day and prepare for our final push to the finish line tomorrow. We begin today feeling a little sore following the previous two days of cycling. After a tough few days of cycling, tonight will be a night to let your hair down, toast your achievements and sample the delights of this magnificent country at our celebration gala dinner! *If you are unable to join the challenge on Thursday but would like to participate from Friday, please contact us for details: MONDAY 25 TH Breakfast will be served at the hotel before you have some free time to enjoy the sights of Monaco. HE LP A C HILD LIKE FINLE Y Finley has already spent a great deal of his short life in the intensive care unit at his local hospital. When not in hospital, he is only able to access his local community when he uses his powerchair. Unfortunately his current chair is now too small for him and his parents are worried he will begin to feel isolated. A new powerchair will give Finley a great feeling of independence. The evening will celebrate your achievements along with friends and will include dinner, entertainment and dancing, with plenty more surprises on the night! Her condition has resulted in her spending a great deal of time in bed as she has not had access to a suitable powerchair. A new chair will give her a great deal of confidence as she will be able to access her school and her local community. The cost of the powerchair for Elizabeth: 22,000 HE LP A C HILD LIKE O LIVIA Olivia cannot walk unaided and gets very frustrated that she is unable to ride a bike alongside her siblings. She is very independent and needs to be active and take part in activates that will strengthen her muscles. Having regular access to a therapy tricycle will provide Olivia with a fun and socially inclusive activity that will aid her movement and development. The cost of the tricycle for Olivia: 1,000 HE LP A C HILD LIKE S U R O S H Surosh has a diagnosis of Autism and Global Developmental Delay, he has a range of needs and can have quite challenging behaviour. Having regular access to sensory equipment Suroush will have an engaging activity that will reduce his hyperactivity and improve his attention skills. The equipment will also reduce his sensory processing difficulties and his anxiety levels. The cost of the sensory equipment for Surosh: 1,400

Caudwell Children provide family support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled children and their families across the UK. We also run our Enable Sport programme for talented disabled athletes and our Destination Dreams holiday for children fighting life threatening conditions. Passionate, positive and practical, we are motivated to improve the lives of the estimated 770,000 disabled children living in the UK, starting with the 400,000 living in or on the margins of poverty. STEP PROGRAMME Over 15 years we have helped to support 753 children through the STEP Programme. ACT PROGRAMME In the past 15 years we have helped to support 5,691 children with autism.
