Last month, if you haven t noticed, we applied our google search engines and mobile app programs in order to be found and using mobile devices. The format was changed and key words for web sites that were not mobile compliant. So, if you didn t want to lose your standings in search engines. Google recommended we create our web site so it can be viewed on mobile devices. Our web site is now mobile compliant and of last month s report, we now link to our Facebook and with a full connection to our website. Before the year is out, IMBBA will be working on its APP that will enable the judges to score electronically at the show the bikes they judge which will greatly accelerate the time to get to the results and awards. Hollister, CA.- When tooling around in a Tesla Motorcar supplied by IMBBA judge, Shelia Cunningham s Company called T-3 and with the driving skills of her partner Mike, the IMBBA crew toured downtown Hollister after Judging the Mike Corbin Biker Bob s Memorial Bike Show. While on the strip, we ran into the notorious gang of builders who were responsible for launching the IMBBA now celebrating their 10 th year. Of course quite a few were not present, however it was nice to see them and rekindle old times.
Hollister, CA - Was it the wonderful weather, or maybe the great staff and spectators, or the mere fact it was the 4 th of July, that impressed the staff and judges of the IMBBA. This was IMBBA s first time ever judging a bike show in the great state of California. This is good news for builders who until Mike Corbin invited IMBBA to judge their Bike show that let builders know they don t have to truck their wares to Sturgis or Texas or Arkansas to get fair judging by IMBBA and work towards certification in our trade. This year Mike named the Bike show after the loss of a dear friend Biker Bob, who s family and wife Donna were there with his restored bike to raffle it off at the bike show. IMBBA President, Jeff Starke, paid a tribute to Biker Bob by a reciting a poem on Freedom as a dedication prior to the Awards ceremony. The first Award was given in by Mike Corbin titled the Hollister Rally Bike Show award and given to Donna in memory of her husband Biker Bob and in appeciation of the contributions made to the Hollister rally for many years. Mike Corbin within his latest creation electric car. The show, displayed bikes of varety and customization, Big wheel baggers, theme bikes and one off customs along with choppers and three wheelers. Awards were $400.00 cash award and a Special Award Plaque with Marlin Brando and Lee Marvin affixed to the face plate. The Mike Corbin headquarters was packed full of spectators and a custom fabrication seat assembly line for visitors remained in the ready as bikes entered and left with their individual custom Corbin seat and bags. Mike Corbin, in addition to his seats and custom bags, is engaged in developing his line of electric,single passenger motor car. Mike graciously gave the Judges and staff of IMBBA a personal tour of his upcoming product lines.
INTERNATIONAL MASTER BIKE BUILDERS ASSOCIATION BEST OF SHOW! Sam Baldi is no stranger to the winners circle, he was the winner of the IMBBA National Championship held in Sturgis three years prior with an outstanding custom. IMBBA challenged him to build another and he was to enter it into IMBBA s World Competition when his Daughter passed away. This along with delays in paint held its completition. Sam, inspired by this unexpected life changer, to build the bike as a tribute to his daughter, and as such brought it to The Mike Corbin Biker Bob Memorial Bike Show where he knew points could be had for the building of this bike through judging by the IMBBA. Well he not only accomplished his mission and was awarded Best of Show, but he also received an invite to attend the IMBBA world Competition Bike show, sponsored by Emirates Bike Festival held this November in Dubai, UAE. Loay Hussien, Final Cut Events Director has been feverishly working for all. The event continues to grow and IMBBA continues to scour the country side for worthy builders to compete, so far 7 builders and eight bikes have been selected and will be shipped from Miami terminal in October. Loay will be attending the Rombo Di Tuono event Brescia, Italy in October in hopes to find Italian customizers to compete. Zack Ness along with Warren Lane, Lee Wimmer, Mondo Porras, and Jay Allen a list of others will be among the professionals who will assist Loay and introduce themselves to the Middle East, while supporting IMBBA to spread the global standards. This IMBBA World Competition is the first of its kind and fosters promise that while the world is shrinking, our industry is growing.
