Webb Ranch is first driveway on the right. Follow the Webb Road about 1.5 miles to the show ring. Follow the signs to trailer parking. We would like to extend a huge thank you to Webb Ranch for allowing us to host our schooling shows. Please be respectful of the Webb Ranch Rules: Keep horses off of lawn and picnic area. Do not tie horses to any fence posts or rails. No wandering on property, or in barns where the privately owned horses are kept. Please supervise children and animals. 5MPH speed limit, NO smoking. SHOW RULES General Show Rules - apply to ALL classes Open - Open to all exhibitors including, but not limited to, professionals. Amateur - Open to non-professional exhibitors over 18 years of age as of Jan 1st. Youth - Open to all exhibitors 18 years and younger as of Jan 1st. Clinic - To be eligible for the FREE clinic exhibitor MUST participate with the coordinating event in their specific division. W/J - Classes open to ALL exhibitors, will show at only the walk and jog gaits. Long sleeve collared shirt, boots, belt, hat/helmet required in ALL classes. Junior horses (5yr and under) may be, but are not required to be, ridden two-handed in a hackamore or snaffle. Senior horses must be ridden one-handed in a shank bit with split or romel reins. No twisted wire snaffles W/J and W/J/L crossover is appropriate and encouraged Report tack changes with proper amount of time NO STALLIONS NO DOGS PLEASE ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING RANCH HORSE RULES Ranch Horse - apply to all RANCH HORSE specific classes only Working rider apparel is preferred Limited silver Forward moving gait with horses ears up on relatively loose rein. At extended jog the rider may sit, post or two-point Too low of head carriage will be penalized No banding of mane or hoof polish, minimal clipping only. Ranch Halter - Judged on confirmation and correctness of gait. Specific to RANCH style horse. Walk, jog and set up in-hand. Required: Leather/rope/nylon halter, no silver, and lead. Ranch Horse Riding - Pattern judged as a working horse and rider team Ranch Horse Trail - Trail pattern judged as a working horse and rider team through course and obstacles that may be encountered on a working ranch.
WESTERN PERFORMANCE RULES Western Performance - apply to PERFORMANCE specific classes only Halter - Judged on confirmation and correctness of gait. Specific to PERFORMANCE horse. Walk, jog and set up in-hand. Required: Leather halter and lead. Proper western attire on handler (boots, long pants, long sleeve, collared shirt, hat). Showmanship - Judged on confirmation and correctness of gait as well as ability and willingness during in-hand pattern. Required: Leather halter and lead. Proper western attire on handler. Lead Line - Open to exhibitors 10 and under. Walk only with leader. Both rider and leader must be in proper western attire. Halter with lead rope and bridle required on horse for safety. Western Pleasure - Judged on movement of the horse and showmanship of the rider. Exhibitors will work at the walk, jog and lope both directions. May be asked to extend at any gait. Proper western attire and tack required. Equitation - Judged on the equitation (body position, etc) of the rider showing on the rail. Horsemanship - Pattern class judged on overall position of rider and execution of pattern. Horse s ability in pattern will be accounted for. Walk, jog and lope. Will be asked for transitions, extensions, spins and other technical maneuvers in patter. Proper western attire and tack required. Trail - Exhibitor and horse judged on ability through set course and obstacles (such as poles and gate) at walk, jog and lope. May be asked to back, spin, side pass and execute other such maneuvers. HIGH POINT AWARDS High Point Award eligibility - Will be awarded to the highest overall point earner in each division. Divisions are divided into Open Performance, Amateur Performance, Youth Performance, Open Ranch Horse, Amateur Ranch Horse and Youth Ranch Horse. All subsequent classes will be included in their specific division. To be eligible for the High Point Award exhibitor MUST compete in appropriate HALTER class. For example: to run for Open Performance High Point, exhibitor MUST compete in Open Halter, and any/all Open Performance classes. Performance Classes Include - Halter, Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Western Equitation, Western Horsemanship and Trail. Ranch Horse Classes Include - Ranch Horse Halter, Ranch Horse Riding and Ranch Horse Trail NOTE - All patterns and courses will be posted at show office upon opening.
