Merits of Sūrat al-munāfiqūn This is a Medinan sūrah. The surah that declares that God bears witness that the false profession of faith by THE HYPOCRITES is uttered only as a screen to hide their duplicity. It takes its name from its main topic, the hypocrites (munāfiqūn). The surah warns the believers about the treachery of the hypocrites and describes their behaviour in some detail. A specific occasion on which the hypocrites tried to stop anyone donating money to believers is described (verse 7) and God calls on the Muslims to compensate for this by giving more of their own funds to the needy (verse 9). It is narrated that Imam Ja far as-sadiq (a.s.) said that it is required of our followers that they recite, in their prayers on Thursday nights, surah al-jumu ah and surah al-a ala, and on Fridays, at the time of noon prayers, surah al-jumu ah and surah al-munafiqun. Whoever does this, it will be like he has obeyed the command of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.), and his reward will be Jannah. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) said that by the recitation of this surah, a person stays free from Shirk and hypocrisy. Recitation of this surah over a wound will heal it and over any ache will cure the ache. In fact, it is a cure for all diseases and ailments.

Sūrat al-munāfiqūn ب ض م الل ه الس ح الس ح م ن م In the Name of Allāh, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. غظیم اور دائمی رحمجوں والے درا هام طے کے अल ऱ ह क न म स ज फड क ऩ ऱ और अत यन त दय व न ह bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmi
Sūrat al-munāfiqūn الل ه ول و م ال ك اء ج ا ذ إ ط س ل ه م إ ر ه ش ه وا ال ل ون ك اف When the hypocrites come to you they say, We bear witness that you are indeed the apostle of Allah. اثے ہیں پیغمبس یہ موافكین اپ کے پاس کہےت ہیں کہ ہم گواہی دیےت ہیں کہ اپ هللا کے ثو ہیں رطول जफ म न फ क (कऩट च र ) त म ह र ऩ स आत ह त कहत ह, "हम गव ह द त ह फक ननश चय ह आऩ अल ऱ ह क रस ऱ ह " ʾidhā jāʾaka l-munāfiqūna qālū nashhadu ʾinnaka la-rasūlu llāhi
الل ه و ل م ػ ر ه ش ه الل و ه ول ط س ل م ه إ ١ ون ب اذ ل ن و م ال ن إ ن ك اف Sūrat al-munāfiqūn Allah knows that you are indeed His Apostle, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are indeed liars. ںیم اپ ےہ کہ جاهجا هللا بھی اور اس کے ہیولیکن هللا گواہی دیجا ےہ کہ یہ موافكین اپےن دغوی رطول ٹے ہیں جھو अल ऱ ह ज नत ह फक ननस स द ह त म उसक रस ऱ ह, फक न त अल ऱ ह गव ह द त ह फक य म न फ क बफऱक ऱ झ ठ ह wa-llāhu yaʿlamu ʾinnaka la-rasūluhū wa-llāhu yashhadu ʾinna l-munāfiqīna lakādhibūna
Sūrat al-munāfiqūn م ه ه إ الل ه و ب ط ن غ ر وا ص ف ة و ج م اه ه م ا زوا ذ اث ٢ ون ل م ػ اهوا ه ا م اء ط They make a shield of their oaths, and bar from the way of Allah. Evil indeed is what they used to do. ےه اهہوں رہے طے روک درا راس لوگوں کو اور اپوی لضموں کو طپس بوالیا ےہ ہیں ےہر دے اهجام یہ جو ہیں اغمال ہیں یہ ان کے برثسین उन ह न अऩन सम क ढ ऱ फन रख ह, इस प रक र व अल ऱ ह क म गग स र कत ह ननश चय ह फ र ह ज व कर रह ह ittakhadhū ʾaymānahum junnatan fa-ṣaddū ʿan sabīli llāhi ʾinnahum sāʾa mā kānū yaʿmalūna
م ه ه ا ب و م ا ى ل غ ع ب ط ف وا س ف ه م ث وا ون ه ٣ فك ل م ه ف م ه وب ل ل Sūrat al-munāfiqūn م ل ذ That is because they believed and then disbelieved, so their hearts were sealed. Hence they do not understand. کچھ هہیں اس یہ با وث کے دلوں پس مہس لگادی گئی ان ثو لےئ ےہ کہ یہ پہےل ایمان لئے پھس کافس ہوگےئ ہیں ےہر طمجھ यह इस क रण फक व ईम न ऱ ए, फपर इनक र फकय, अत उनक ददऱ ऩर म हर ऱग द गई, अफ व क छ नह समझत dhālika bi-ʾannahum ʾāmanū thumma kafarū fa-ṭubiʿa ʿalā qulūbihim fa-hum lā yafqahūna
م ه ج ا ر ا ذ إ و ا م ب ج ػ ث ك ن إ و م ه ام ض ج م ه ل و ك ل ع م ث ض وا ول Sūrat al-munāfiqūn When you see them, their bodies impress you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. کہ جب اور نا ثو اپ اهہیں دیکھیں گے کسیں گے بات اور بہت اچھے لگیں گے جضم کے اپ طوےن لگیں طسح اس ثو त म उन ह द खत ह त उनक शर र (फ ह य र ऩ) त म ह अच छ ऱगत ह, औरयदद व फ त कर त उनक फ त त म स नत रह ज ओ wa-ʾidhā raʾaytahum tuʿjibuka ʾajsāmuhum wa-ʾin yaqūlū tasmaʿ li-qawlihim
Sūrat al-munāfiqūn ه م ه اه ص ة ح د ش ب م ض و ر ة ح ض ب ون هو م ه غ ل Yet they are like dry logs set reclining [against a wall].they suppose every cry is directed against them لیکن حكیكت میں یہ ایضے ہیں جیضے دیوار طے لگائی ہوئی طوکھی لکڑیاں کہ یہ ہس چیخ کو اپےن ہی دالف طمجھےت ہیں फकन त यह ऐस ह ह म न व ऱकड क क द ह, जजन ह (द व र क सह र ) खड कर ददय गय ह हर ज र क आव ज क व अऩन ह ववर द ध समझत ह ka-ʾannahum khushubun musannadatun yaḥsabūna kulla ṣayḥatin ʿalayhim
ن ف ؤ ى اه م ه و ر ال ػ م ه ر ز اح ف م ه ل لاث ه الل ون ٤ Sūrat al-munāfiqūn They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah assail them, where do they stray?! اور یہ دشمن ہیں والػا درا طے ہوشیار رہےئ ان کسے یہ کہاں بہکے چےل جارےہ ہیں غارت اهہیں वह व स तववक शत र ह, अत उनस फचकर रह अल ऱ ह क म र उनऩर व कह उल ट फपर ज रह ह! humu l-ʿaduwwu fa-ḥdharhum qātalahumu llāhu ʾannā yuʾfakūna
Sūrat al-munāfiqūn ا و و ل الل ه ول ط ر م ن ل س ف غ ج ض ا و ال ػ ث م ل ه و ل ا ذ إ و ون س ب ن ج ض م م ه و ون ر ص م ه ج ٥ ا ر و م ه وط ء ر When they are told, Come, that Allah s Apostle may plead for forgiveness for you, they twist their heads, and you see them turn away while they are disdainful. پھسا لیےت ہیں طس ثو کسیں گے اطجغفار میں حق هللا ثمہارے رطول اؤ طے کہا جاثا ےہ کہ ان جب اور پس موہ بھی موڑ لیےت ہیں بوا دیکھو گے کہ اطجکبار کی ثم اور और जफ उनस कह ज त ह, "आओ, अल ऱ ह क रस ऱ त म ह र लऱए म क प र थगन कर " त व अऩन लसर मटक त ह और त म द खत ह फक घम ड क स थ खख च रहत ह wa-ʾidhā qīla lahum taʿālaw yastaghfir lakum rasūlu llāhi lawwaw ruʾūsahum wa-raʾaytahum yaṣuddūna wa-hum mustakbirūna
ن ل م ه ل س ف غ ج ض ث م ل م ا م ه ل ت س غف ج ط ا م ه ل غ اء و ط ن ال ف ك اط م و ك ال ي ر ه ل ه الل ن إ م ه ل ه الل س ف غ ٦ Sūrat al-munāfiqūn It is the same for them whether you plead for forgiveness for them, or do not plead for forgiveness for them: Allah will never forgive them. Indeed Allah does not guide the transgressing lot. هہیں ےہ کہ یكیوا هللا وا ل اهہیں بذشےن درا کسیں یا هہ کسیں اطجغفار ےہ چاےہ اپ بسابس طب ےئل کے ان کی ہرایت هہیں کسثا ےہ لوم برکار उनक लऱए फर फर ह च ह त म उनक फकए म क प र थगन कर य उनक लऱए म क प र थगन न कर अल ऱ ह उन ह कद वऩ म न कर ग ननश चय ह अल ऱ ह अव क ररय क स ध म गग नह ददख य करत sawāʾun ʿalayhim ʾa-staghfarta lahum ʾam lam tastaghfir lahum lan yaghfira llāhu lahum ʾinna llāha lā yahdī l-qawma l-fāsiqīna
ال ز ن ك ول ون ل ث وف كوا غ ل ى م ن الل ه ح ج ى وف ضوا ه م غ ور ر ط و ل Sūrat al-munāfiqūn They are the ones who say, Do not spend on those who are with the Apostle of Allah until they scatter off. یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو کہےت ہیں کہ رطول هللا کے طاثھیوں پس کچھ دسچ هہ کسو ثاکہ یہ لوگ ہوجائیں موجشس व वह ऱ ग ह ज कहत ह, "उन ऱ ग ऩर ऽचग न कर ज अल ऱ ह क रस ऱ क ऩ स रहन व ऱ ह, त फक व नततर-बफतर ह ज ए " humu lladhīna yaqūlūna lā tunfiqū ʿalā man ʿinda rasūli llāhi ḥattā yanfaḍḍū
ل ه ل و ر ل ن و ض ا ل و ات او م الض ن ش ائ د ون ه ٧ ك ف ن و ال م ل ن ك اف Sūrat al-munāfiqūn Yet to Allah belong the treasuries of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand. و اطمان حا لهکہ ںیہ ےئل زمین کے طارے دشاهے هللا ہی کے رےہ ہیں اور یہ موافكین کو هہیں طمجھ بات اس ह ऱ फक आक श और धरत क ऽज न अल ऱ ह ह क ह, फकन त व म न फ समझत नह wa-li-llāhi khazāʾinu s-samāwāti wa-l-ʾarḍi wa-lākinna l-munāfiqīna lā yafqahūna
ن س ج ذ ل ة و ر م ى ال ل إ ا و ػ ج ر ئ ن ل ون ول ك ذ ل ا ل ا ه و م ش غ ا ل Sūrat al-munāfiqūn They say, When we return to the city, the mighty will surely expel the abased from it. اگےئ یہ لوگ کہےت ہیں کہ اگس ہم مریوہ واپص هػشت صاحبان ہم ثو گے ذلیو ان کو هکال باہس کسیں افساد व कहत ह, "यदद हम मद न ऱ टकर गए त ज अधधक शजततव ऱ ह, वह ह नतर (व यजततय ) क वह स ननक ऱ फ हर कर ग " yaqūlūna la-ʾin rajaʿnā ʾilā l-madīnati la-yukhrijanna l-ʾaʿazzu minhā l-ʾadhalla
و ل ل ه ال ػ ش ة و ل س ط ول ه و ل ل م ؤ م و ن و ل ن م ون ل ػ ل ٨ اف ك ن ال م و ن Sūrat al-munāfiqūn Yet all might belongs to Allah and His Apostle, and the faithful, but the hypocrites do not know. حا لهکہ طاری غشت هللا,رطول اور صاحبان هایمان کے ےئل اور ےہ یہ موافكین یہ جاهےت بھی هہیں ہیں ह ऱ फक शजतत अल ऱ ह और उसक रस ऱ और म लमन क लऱए ह, फकन त व म न फ ज नत नह wa-li-llāhi l-ʿizzatu wa-li-rasūlihī wa-li-l-muʾminīna wa-lākinna l-munāfiqīna lā yaʿlamūna
م ه د ل و ا ل و م الن و م ا م ن ه ثل ل وا و م ا ن ز ال ا ه ا ا م ه م ا ف و ػ ف ن م و ه ول ئ م ل ذ الل س ه ذ ن غ ٩ ون س اط ال ذ Sūrat al-munāfiqūn O you who have faith! Do not let your possessions and children distract you from the remembrance of Allah, and whoever does that it is they who are the losers. ایضا جو هہ کسدے کہ غافو طے درا ثمہیں یاد او لد ثمہاری اور اموال دبسدار ثمہارے والو ایمان اگوہ شمار کسے گا وہ یكیوا دضارہ والوں میں ऐ ईम न ऱ न व ऱ! त म ह र म ऱ त म ह अल ऱ ह क य द स फ ऱ न कर द और न त म ह र सन त न ह ज क ई ऐस कर त ऐस ह ऱ ग घ ट म रहन व ऱ ह yā-ʾayyuhā lladhīna ʾāmanū lā tulhikum ʾamwālukum wa-lā ʾawlādukum ʿan dhikri llāhi wa-man yafʿal dhālika fa-ʾulāʾika humu l-khāsirūna
Sūrat al-munāfiqūn م ه ر ح ا ي ث ا ان و ب ل ن م اهم و ل ز ر ا م ن م كوا هف ا و كول ف ت و ال م Spend from what We have provided you before death comes to any of you, whereat he will say, میں طے کضی ےه ہم رزق جو اور غطا کیا ےہ اس سا لبو میں طے ہماری راہ میں دسچ کسو کہ ےہک وہ یہ اور اجائے موت کو کے کہ ثم हमन त म ह ज क छ ददय ह उसम स ऽचग कर इसस ऩहऱ फक त मम स फकस क म त य आ ज ए और उस समय वह करन ऱग, wa-ʾanfiqū min mā razaqnākum min qabli ʾan yaʾtiya ʾaḥadakumu l-mawtu fayaqūla
ب ر س د ا ل ل و ي و ث ى ل ف ب س ل و ج ا إ ١٠ ن ح ال الص و ق ر ص ا م هن ا ن Sūrat al-munāfiqūn My Lord, why did You not respite me for a short time so that I might have given charity and become one of the righteous! ںوروب کیه روا دیجا ےہ کہ ہم دیسات هکالیں ےد درایا ہمیں ثھوڑے دهوں کی مہلت کیوں هہیں ہوجائیں شامو میں "ऐ म र रफ! त न म झ क छ थ ड समय तक और म हऱत तय न द फक म सद (द न) करत (म झ म हऱत द फक म सद कर ) और अच छ ऱ ग म सजम मलऱत ह ज ऊ " rabbi law-lā ʾakhkhartanī ʾilā ʾajalin qarībin fa-ʾaṣṣaddaqa wa-ʾakun mina ṣ- ṣāliḥīna
