What s New for 2013 - Continued What is Heads Up Football 1. Ensures that all of our coaches become members of USA Football and become certified by completing a nationally accredited Coach Certification program. 2. The creation of a new position called Player Safety Coach on each unit. Practice Facilities Our practice facility is at the now vacant Washington Elementary located on Hix and Ann Arbor Roads. Positive reasons to practice at Washington: 1. #1 Parent Request 2 seasons ago 2. It s where we store our equipment 3. Practice facility is now located in Oriole Territory 4. Fundraiser s Buffalo Wild Wings: What: BW3 in Livonia will donate a 20% of your tab to the Orioles When: Sunday May 19th Where: Buffalo Wild Wings 37651 Six Mile Orioles Raffle What: Each player or cheerleader is asked to sell 20 $5 raffle tickets. Families with 2 or more children will be asked to sell 30 tickets. Money for raffle tickets is due upfront when tickets are picked up. Prizes are $1,000 - $750 - $500 - $250 When: Ticket stubs due back at equipment pickup. Drawing is August 9th Where: Drawing to be held prior to practice on August 9 th need not be present to win.

Parent s Night Out: What: $20 - Bowling, Shoes, Pizza, Raffles, 50/50, Adult Team Bonding When: August 10th from 8pm to 11pm Where: Merri-Bowl (on 5 mile road) Tickets will be sold at the Oriole Picnic, Boot Camp, and practice when it begins in Aug. Pop/Gatorade Donations What: During the month of August, drop your case of either pop or Gatorade at the practice field. The Oriole s Program needs you! Our athlete s need you! Digital Picture Takers: Take pictures at practice, games, and events. Submit to Webmaster to be put on the Oriole website. Yearbook Staff: One parent per squad (JV Cheer, Freshman Football to coordinate pictures and write ups.) Spirit wear: Shannon Brooks **Field Directors: Run home games by organizing volunteers. Volunteers Needed Our organization cannot exist without the volunteer efforts of our parents. All Football and Cheer Parents are EXPECTED to help in some way.
