PRINCIPLE Fr a cylindrical sample submerged in a testing liquid, air pressure is slwly increased until enugh pressure has built up inside f the sample t cunter act the pressure f the testing liquid and pushes thrugh the wall f the sample, frming a bubble n the utside f the wall. The pressure at which this ccurs is referred t as the Bubble Pint f the sample and crrespnds t the largest pre in the sample. APPLICATION The PMI Media Bubble Pint Tester is useful fr quality cntrl in the filter Media industry, as well as finding the largest thrugh pre thrat diameter f the material. PROCEDURE The wetted media is laded int the chamber and the lid is tightened. The user will set the test parameters and tell the sftware t start the test. The sftware will autmatically start the test and air pressure is slwly increased at a cnstant rate. Once the pressurized air bursts thrugh the sample, the bubble pint is recrded and reprted alng with the testing liquid.
