In the individual tournament, three Blue Jay players competed in singles. Eric DeBoer posted a 1-2 record. TURY: The Patriots (2014: 13-4 Overall; 5-1 WDA) will take part in some 3-2 exhibition duals on Friday, Aug. 21 in Minot and then compete on Aug. 22 in the Minot Round Robin. The Patriots won a share of the WDA title last year and currently have the longest streak of consecutive state tournament appearances by a WDA team with six. In the WDA preseason coaches poll, Century was picked to finish second. ESTOWN: The Blue Jays (2014: 8-5 Overall; 4-2 WDA) will take part in some 3-2 exhibition duals on Friday, Aug. 21 in Minot and then compete on Aug. 22 in the Minot Round Robin. Jamestown finished third in the WDA in 2014. In the WDA preseason coaches poll, Jamestown was picked to finish sixth. ACY: The Sabers (2014: 11-4 Overall; 5-1 WDA) will take part in some 3-2 exhibition duals on Friday, Aug. 21 in Minot and then compete on Aug. 22 in the Minot Round Robin. Legacy won a share of last year s WDA title with Century. In this year s WDA preseason coaches poll, the Sabers were picked to finish first, garnering six of seven first place votes. DAN: The Braves (2014: 3-9 Overall; 1-5 WDA) will take part in some 3-2 exhibition duals on Friday, Aug. 21 in Minot and then compete on Aug. 22 in the Minot Round Robin. Mandan finished sixth in the WDA last season. In the WDA preseason coaches poll, was picked to finish fifth, and received one first place vote. OT: The Magi (2014: 8-7 Overall; 4-2 WDA) will host WDA teams this weekend, Aug. 21-22. Several 3-2 exhibition duals will be played on Friday with the annual Minot Round Robin set for Aug. 22. Minot finished fourth last season in the WDA and earned its 40th trip to the state tournament. In the WDA preseason coaches poll, was picked to finish third. LISTON: The Coyotes (2014: 5-11 Overall; 1-3 WDA) will take part in some 3-2 exhibition duals on Friday, Aug. 21 in Minot and then compete on Aug. 22 in the Minot Round Robin. Williston placed fifth in the WDA last season, but earned its second consecutive state tournament appearance. In the WDA preseason coaches poll, was picked to finish fourth. This is the 41st season of WDAsponsored boys tennis. Bismarck High holds the distinction of winning the very 41 first WDA title in 1976. Minot has won the most with 21.
