Technical guide 30 July 2017 5 August 2017
Preface The European Junior Cycling Tour will be organized for the 53th time this year. Integrated in this event there will be the World Championships for athletes with an intellectual disability. This is the 9 th time the World Championships ID-cycling takes place. A separated committee is appointed to organize this big event. The superordinate organization is INAS, International Federation for Intellectual Disability Sport. INAS is established at 1986 by a group of Dutch professionals. Meanwhile, 30 years later, there are 300.000 athletes affiliated with INAS spread over 80 countries worldwide. A number of those athletes will fight for the rainbow jerseys in the three competitions of the World Championships, namely the individual time trial, the team time trial and the road race. It s lovely that these two events will be integrated together. Everyone has the same passion: the cycling sport! We warmly welcome everyone in the province Drenthe and we hope that everyone will enjoy the event.
