ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY All athletes must comply with the provisions of the Olympic Charter currently in force, including but not limited to, Rule 41 (Nationality of Competitors). Only those athletes who have complied with the Olympic Charter may participate in the Youth Olympic Games. Age To be eligible to participate in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, athletes must have been born between 1 January 2001 and 31 December 2003. Page 1/5

Additional IF Requirements: To be eligible for selection to a quota place, athletes must obtain the Minimum Qualification Standard (MQS) as follows: Men 60m round 610 Women 60m Round 600 The MQS must be achieved during the YOG qualification period between 1 October 2017 (World Archery Youth Championships) and 24 July 2018. World Archery will review the scores of all eligible athletes to verify that they have achieved the required MQS. The World Archery Executive Committee will make the final determination on any athletes who do not meet the MQS. D. QUALIFICATION PATHWAY The same age limit will apply to qualification events in 2017 to avoid an athlete obtaining a quota place and then not being able to be selected for the YOG. QUALIFICATION PLACES MEN / WOMEN Number of Quota Places D.1. 16 Men 16 Women Qualification Event D.1. World Archery YOG Qualification Tournament The YOG Qualification Tournament will be held in conjunction with the 2017 World Archery Youth Championships, but as a separate competition for those athletes who are eligible to compete in the Youth Olympic Games 2018. An NOC may enter a maximum of three (3) YOG aged athletes per gender in the YOG Qualification Tournament (including the host country). This competition will be an Olympic Round with a 1/48th Elimination Round and all athletes will shoot at 60m. D.2. 11 Men 11 Women The 16 best-ranked athletes will earn their NOC one (1) quota place, with a maximum of one (1) athlete per NOC per gender. D.2. Continental Qualification Tournaments (CQT) One (1) Continental Qualification Tournament (CQT) per continent will be held for YOG aged athletes to allocate eleven (11) quota places to NOCs whose athletes achieve the following places: Europe Top three (3) ranked athletes Asia Top three (3) ranked athletes Americas Top two (2) ranked athletes Africa Top two (2) ranked athletes Oceania Top ranked athlete Page 2/5

Should the host country qualify through the CQT the number of quota places for the Americas shall be increased from the top two (2) to the top three (3) athletes. Athletes who have previously won a qualification place for their nation at the WAYC, and athletes from NOCs outside the defined continental area, may not compete at the CQT. If the Continental qualification is at a Continental Championship, World Archery rules and procedures apply to determine the athletes eligible to participate in the continental qualification event, but a separate event will be held to determine the quota places. HOST COUNTRY PLACES The host country will automatically qualify one (1) male and one (1) female athlete, on the condition that the athletes meet the eligibility requirements described under section C. UNIVERSALITY PLACES Four (4) male Universality Places and four (4) female Universality Places will be made available to eligible NOCs at the YOG, subject to the athletes meeting the required technical level and the eligibility criteria defined under section C. The International Olympic Committee will invite all eligible NOCs to submit their requests for Universality Places by 15 January 2017. The Tripartite Commission will confirm, in writing, the allocation of invitation places to the relevant NOCs, in collaboration with WA, as of 13 March 2017. The NOCs will have until 31 March 2017 to confirm the use of their places to the Tripartite Commission. E. CONFIRMATION PROCESS FOR QUOTA PLACES CONFIRMATION OF QUALIFICATION PLACES WA shall publish the list of NOCs qualification places immediately after the World Archery YOG Qualification Tournament and every Continental Qualification Tournament on their website at www.worldarchery.org WA will confirm all NOCs qualification places after the completion of the last Continental Qualification Tournament. The NOCs will then have two (2) weeks until <date>, to confirm to WA and BAYOGOC (fax and email are acceptable) if they wish to use these quota places, as detailed in section G. Qualification Timeline. CONFIRMATION OF HOST COUNTRY PLACES Page 3/5

The host country must confirm in writing (fax and e-mail are acceptable) to the WA and BAYOGOC following the continental qualification event (date tbc) the participation of its athletes. F. REALLOCATION OF UNUSED QUOTA PLACES REALLOCATION OF UNUSED QUALIFICATION PLACES If a quota place allocated is not confirmed by the NOC by the confirmation of quota place deadline or is declined by the NOC, the quota place will be reallocated as follows: If the athlete qualified through D.1., the quota place will be reallocated to the next best-ranked NOC not yet qualified at the YOG Qualification Tournament held in conjunction with the 2017 World Archery Youth Championships. If the athlete qualified through D.2., the quota place will be reallocated to the next best-ranked NOC not yet qualified at the respective Continental Qualification Tournament. If there is no eligible NOC from the respective continent to reallocate the quota place to, the quota place will be reallocated to the next best-ranked NOC not yet qualified at the YOG Qualification Tournament held in conjunction with the 2017 World Archery Youth Championships. By 12 August 2018, World Archery will confirm the reallocation of unused quota places. REALLOCATION OF UNUSED HOST COUNTRY PLACES Should the host country qualify through D.1 or D.2 the host country quota place will be reallocated according to the procedure outlined in section F. reallocation of unused qualification places. Should the host country is unable to fulfil the conditions mentioned above, or decline the quota places then those places will be reallocated to the NOC of the next highest ranked athlete(s) not already qualified a quota place from the Continental Qualification Tournament, based on the established standby list, which is based on the final individual ranking of this event. REALLOCATION OF UNUSED UNIVERSALITY PLACES Any unused Universality Places, including those returned after the final allocation by YOG Tripartite Commission, will be reallocated to the next best-ranked NOC not yet qualified at the YOG Qualification Tournament held in conjunction with the 2017 World Archery Youth Championships.
