138 Enduro SuperMoto The TOURATECH TB 652 ORYX is a lightweight construction motorcycle based on the BMW F650GS. High quality components and concentrating on the essentials have enabled us to achieve a weight of 115 kg (ready to drive and without fuel). The same design that you will find in the ENDURO you will also find in the Oryx SuperMoto. But in choosing the components we have taken into consideration its special purpose. 250 mm spring travel front and rear and 120/70R17 and 160/60R17 tyres make the Oryx brilliant on bends. The Oryx is a modular design. You can obtain various kits based on your F650GS and so build a real Oryx in Enduro style or in Supermoto trim. 139 BMW F 650 rallye concept by Schalber The state-of-the-art F650 GS single cylinder from BMW is a real winner.richard Schalber used this bike as the basis for a true rallye machine. His concept has proved to be successful at the most demanding rallies worldwide where his bikes were among the winning teams: Granada-Dakar and Tunesia 1999 and Dakar 2000 where two Schalber machines crossed the finishing line first. Isn't it natural to make this successful motorbike available to a wider group? Here we would like to present the results of our co-operation with Richard Schalber: A replica of the winner motorbike based on the new F650 GS: BMW F650 rallye by Schalber. Our new BMW F650 rallye on the scales: Total weight, without fuel: 175 kg Now sport riders, touring enthusiasts, enduro riders and rallyists can have a ride on a successful rallye machine based on the F650 GS. Richard Schalber is the brain behind the overall concept for the motorbike, he has designed the frame and is responsible for its adjustment. The professional design and production of all four plastic tanks have benefited from Elkamet's experience. The exhaust is a new development by us. The instrumentation includes our new IMO-100R50 rallye, the proven Touratech Roadbook RB-TT carbon and Touratech's new Nav- Assistant. New to rallye bikes: All instruments are shock-mounted which guarantees a vibration-free reading of all instruments under any condition. Touratech has also designed and manufactured all plastic fairing components. The Magura handlebars and the Excel wheels finish the perfect look. Race Team 141 Arras-Madrid-Dakar-2002 test track! For the first time Touratech fielded their own team at the 2002 Arras-Madrid-Dakar rally. To prepare for this event we added new developments to our BMW F650 rallye to make it even more reliable and robust. We then built up five motorcycles and put a team together. After having worked for nights on end the machines were ready: On 28th December 2001, our drivers started the race in Arras to drive to Dakar.

Demands on the physical and mental fitness of the riders are extreme, and the equipment suffers too; only the best prepared machines have a chance of passing the finish line after such a day.
