Denver, CO October 18-20, 2017 Mobile Inflatable Water Attractions Samantha Fiscus, REHS Samantha Fiscus, AFO, CPO, REHS, has worked as a public health and safety regulator for the State of Wisconsin for over 7 years. Her passion for maintaining health and safety standards of the pool and water attraction industry grew as she gained experience as an inspector at the large waterparks and resorts of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin which is known as the Waterpark Capital of the World. This passion led her to current professional role as the Recreational Water Technical Specialist for the State of Wisconsin- Dept of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Abstract The aquatic industry is constantly evolving and becoming more creative in terms of pool and waterslide design. This creates the need for regulatory officials to adapt to the industry while maintaining public health and safety standards. As a result of the evolving industry, the State of Wisconsin has begun to see an influx of various types mobile inflatable water attraction structures that consist of large waterslide events like Slide the City to seasonal campgrounds with inflatable slides and pools. Slide the City, a mobile inflatable waterslide, held an event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during the summer of 2015. The details of the event and the concerns that were noted will be addressed as it pertains to the existing pool regulations and guidelines. Currently there are very little state or national codes that address the health and safety issues of these types of structures. The shortfalls of limited regulations will be identified and proposed health and safety guidelines will be addressed.
