2 Intro Welcome to the National Ninja League. We our a non-profit organization of the Nation's top Ninja Warrior training facility. Our goal is to help facilitate a venue for Ninja Warrior athletes to train in a nation wide competition during the off season of NBC s hit Tv show American Ninja Warrior. The league will allow athletes to gain nationwide recognition and achieve athletic sponsorships for competing at a top level! General Rules Age Groups 1. NNL Competitions will have multiple age divisions 2. Facilities are not required to host all the age groups. 3. Facilities may choose what events they wish to host. a. However, they may not make exceptions to these age groups. All the age groups must stay consistent. 4. These are the age ranges allowed at NNL Competitions a. Kids: Age 6-8 b. Preteens:Age 9-12 c. Teens: Age 13-17 d. Pros: +18 5. The child s age on March 31st 2018 will decide what age category they fall into. Exceptions to Age Groups 1. Athletes from 13-17 that qualified for the first ever National Ninja League finals are grandfathered into the pro division. 2. By placing top 3 in an individual's age group for the current season, they are eligible to move up in age groups for the next season. Open Gym Policy 1. Open gyms may be added to offer an opportunity to out of towners to warm up on the general facility 2. No indication to what the course will be may be should be given to anyone attending the open gym.
3 3. There must be at least one obstacle hidden from both the regular attendees and the open gym goes to add an element of variability and adaptations. Merchandise 1. Gyms are allowed to create their own merchandise or use the logo of the NNL. All profit will go to the gyms. Prizes 1. Every gym must have a prize of at least $100 for each adult division (Male and Female) of a qualifying event 2. Youth divisions do not fall into the same rules for prize money as adults a. Merch trophies and other items can be used as prizes for youth divisions 3. The finals must have at least a $1000 grand prize for the winner of each division. Pricing 1. Events must be between $40-$75 2. In the event of extra activities (Meet and Greets, Training Seminars, Open Gyms Etc) there can be other fees involved however there must be an option to only sign up for the qualifier at the specified price range. National Anthem 1. National Anthem must be played at the beginning of all NNL events. Qualifying Rounds Qualifying Terms 1. Each age group and division will have their own qualifiers 2. Must finish in top 3 3. Furthest the fastest or fastest finishers a. Time stops at last completed obstacle 4. Athletes Can only qualify at one event 5. Athletes Can compete in as many events as they want for fantasy points and NNL Points
4 Qualifying Course 1. 10-20 Obstacles 2. Must have a variety of skills tested (Balance, coordination, Grip strength, Grip endurance, and upper body power) 3. Courses cannot be practiced ahead of time by any athlete participating 4. Top 3 Male athletes qualify 5. Top 3 Female Athletes Qualify 6. In the event there are less than three male or less than three female competitors attending all those registered automatically qualify for the championship 7. Adjustments to the course for female athletes may be made at the gym owner's/event coordinator's discretion. a. However, they can only be made in the following scenarios: i. Trampoline Height or distance can be adjusted. ii. Time limits can be modified for females. iii. If adjustments are made for females they must be made for all females in that particular competition Owners/employees Qualifying 1. Owners may not qualify at their own events 2. Employees may not qualify at their own facility 3. Owners get free entrance to other qualifying events. No Extra Stages 1. Gyms are not allowed to continue their comps after the National Ninja League. Number of Competitors 1. There is no Maximum or Minimum for Number of competitors for a qualifying course Spectators 1. Spectators are encouraged 2. Spectator fees are to be decided on a per gym basis
5 Video Review 1. Video review may be used in close call situations to accurately decide the outcome of an athlete on the course. Timers 1. Two or more timers must be used to accurately track the times on athletes running the qualifier course. Injury Stops 1. In the event an athlete gets injured while the athlete was running a course and they need to step off of a course their run will be over. 2. The athlete will not be given the opportunity to rerun or to get back on the course after they step off from their initial run. Obstacle Breaks 1. In the event an obstacle malfunctions or breaks the athlete will be allowed a rerun from the start of the course. a. The rerun will take place later in the run order in order to assure fair rest. b. In the event the athlete does not make it as far on their second run the better of the two runs will be used for their ranking. National Finals National Finals Course 1. Must be 3 Stages a. Stage 1- Focus on speed and lower body b. Stage 2-Focus on Speed and upper body explosive power c. Stage 3-Has a mix of all elements of Ninja Warrior(Furthest the fastest wins) 2. Courses cannot be practiced ahead of time 3. Only athletes who qualified can participate in the finals course 4. Athletes will run in reverse order from their point standing in the league(last place to first place)
6 Alternates 1. In the event a qualified athlete cannot make the finals for any reason (Injury, Scheduling Conflict, Monetary or other) The finals place may be taken by the 4th place finisher from the qualifying event of the participant. 2. In the event a 4th place finisher cannot make the finals than the 5th place finisher from the event can be called to take their place. 3. This process will continue until an alternate is found for finals.
