IATP are a nationally recognised not-for-profit organisation that works with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). IATP ensure that training providers are audited to ensure the asbestos courses they provide meets all IATP standards and requirements. The IATP have a good reputation with the HSE and are truly independent. Q. Does the certificate have an expiry date printed on it? A. No. Unlike UKATA, IATP certificates do not need to have expiry dates printed on them. We like that because it is more in keeping with legislation whereby the employer (not the training provider) decides when training should be given, based on their unique situation and guidance provided by the HSE. It also deals with duties on architects and designers under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) with regards to asbestos. Approval by the IATP gives you assurance that this online training course has been independently audited and confirmed as meeting the Category A training requirements set out in the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR12).
