Horses must not have been stabled at or reside in a Professional Producer's/Trainer's yard (in the current season or previous season). Riders must not have ridden any animals produced by a Professional/Trainer in the current or previous season. Horses and riders must not have received any help from a Professional Producer/Trainer at a SHOW in the current or previous season. Horses must not have been ridden at a show by a rider who has ridden for a Professional/Producer Trainer in the current or previous season. Any breaches of this ruling will be taken seriously and will result in disqualification from future classes.
Class 3 The RoR Tattersalls Scottish Thoroughbred Show Series 2017 The RoR Tattersalls Scottish Show Series Qualifier Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first three go forward to the championship at the Royal Highland Show 2018. All entries MUST be registered with the R0R and have RACED in GB. There will be a prize for the highest placed veteran 15years or over. The class will be run under the rules of RoR. Horses to be ridden by the judge. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. Racing injuries and blemishes will NOT be ignored in this series Prizes: Rosettes 1 st to 6 th place, Vouchers 1 st to 4 th place. CLASS 6 Run under SSA. Rules as defined in the currents Members Handbook. Open to SSA Members and Non-Members. Members carrying their current championship Points Cards are eligible for SSA rosettes to 3 rd Adult and 3 rd Junior places and SSA Championship Points. Southernden Farm offers a rosette to the highest placed member under aged 14 on 1 st January of the current year. Side Saddle International offer a rosette to the Adult Member and Manor Grange Stud Show Centre to the Junior Member, judged to be the best turned out in the class. However, only Members may go forward to the Championship of the day. VHS Membership to be applied for no later than 1 week prior to this show, to avoid disappointment. VHS Scottish Supreme (Pre-Judging) Final qualification. ONLY MEMBERS placed 1st to 2nd in each age category will go to the Veteran Championship of the Day. In all classes - if competitors placed1st or 2nd are not Members qualification will be given to 3rd & 4th providing they are Members. Qualification will not go lower than 4th place. If the Champion or Reserve has qualified then 2nd or 3rd reserve may take qualification. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Competitors in ALL ridden hunter and sport horse classes MUST wear a skull cap or hat with safety harness according to the current BSI or European Standard at ALL times while mounted. Skull caps to have a navy blue or black cover. NOTES FOR COMPETITORS Closing date for entries Thursday 10th August 2017 and must be accompanied with the correct payment. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. Cheques should be made out to Blair Castle Estate Ltd. VAT registration no. 658331327. Any entries sent with underpaid or incorrect cheques will be returned. Overpaid cheques will be banked, and the extra payment forfeited it will not be possible to use the money for extra entries during the show Prize Money Prize money vouchers will be presented at the conclusion of the relevant class. These vouchers can be redeemed for cash at the Horse Trials Secretary s Office adjacent to the main arena between 1pm and 6pm. Any vouchers not redeemed at the event may be sent to the Horse Trials office no later than 13 th September; no payments will be made after this date. By signing the entry form you are agreeing to allow us to publish any photographs taken of you on the day of the show. Two wristbands will be supplied per entry, with one additional wristband per entry thereafter, and one additional wristband for each rider under the age of 16 years. One vehicle pass will be allocated per entry form. Each additional vehicle or person must purchase the correct tickets through the online box office. The lorry pass will admit to the horse box park only on Sunday 27th August. Due to restrictions on space the pass will not allow admission at any other time. Lorries or trailers that do not have a horse will not be allowed into the horse box park. COMPETITORS WHO ARE STABLING PLEASE NOTE STABLES ARE AVAILABLE FROM 4PM ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL, AND MUST BE VACATED BY 2PM ON THE DAY OF DEPARTURE. A limited number of stables are available at 60 (including VAT) per day or 125 (including VAT) for the duration of the show. Stabling will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Stables will be available from Wednesday 23rd August Sunday 27th August inclusive. No refunds will be given for stabling cancelled after the closing date. Competitors are not permitted to sublet stables. Straw is supplied for bedding; competitors requiring shavings are welcome to bring their own or purchase them at the event. Hay is not supplied. Bookings close 7th August 2017, or when all stables are filled, strictly NO applications will be accepted after this date. No refunds will be given for stabling cancelled after the closing date. Owners must clean up after their dogs. Any dog found loose or fouling will be fined 10, which will be donated to the Event Official Charity. DOPE TEST: The Committee reserves the right to have any animal tested. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without stating a reason and alter or cancel any published classes. LIABILITY: Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the Organisers, Atholl Estates, Blair Castle Estate Ltd, nor any Agent, employee or representative of these bodies accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury, illness to horses, riders, owners, grooms, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or in any way whatsoever. INSURANCES: All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out a third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad and to keep the policy up to date. LOSS OR DAMAGE: The organisers accept no responsibility whatsoever for loss, injury or damage, however caused, to any person, animal or property of the Showground, in stables or in car parks. CHILDREN: Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult while riding/handling horses or ponies, with the exception of while competing in a class. CURFEW: There is a curfew on riding of 7pm throughout the event. This includes warm up arenas and hacking as well as competition arenas. Horses may still be exercised in hand or lunged after this time. Anyone found riding after curfew may be asked to leave the venue. No refunds will be given for stabling or entry fee CAMPING: Only competitors who have booked stables are permitted to stay overnight in their horseboxes. Competitors who have not booked stabling must leave the showground at the end of the show day. Horses may not be kept in horseboxes overnight. Pens are not permitted overnight or during the day. Anyone erecting pens will be asked to take them down. There is limited competitor camping permitted in the Lorry Park. Competitors requiring an additional pass for a car and caravan must request one in advance from the Horse Trials Office, on a first come first served basis. Caravans or cars without the correct pass will be redirected to Car Park 1 or the Event campsite, where they will be required to purchase parking or pitch rental. ALL EXHIBITORS are requested to obey the instructions to enter and leave the site and to respect the direction given for horsebox parking by the officials in charge of this area.
