About the Event: In 2010 a few local commercial real-estate buddies got together, decided to have an industry ski day, selected a charity, (the US Disabled Ski Team that year) and an Olympic themed ski scramble with teams captained by former members of the US, Spanish and Norwegian National Teams. Fast forward and this year will mark the 6th anniversary of the event, the 3rd to benefit Foodlink. The Forks & Skis Event Committee has grown from a few real-estate friends to a dozen professionals dedicated to ending hunger in our region. The committee has had great help along the way, including the Muxworthy Family and the organizational network of Foodlink. The Event has raised over $70,000 since its inception in 2010, last year was one for the books raising over $30,000 for Foodlink. About Foodlink: Foodlink is the regional food hub serving 500 human service agencies in a 10-county service area. Our operations target the root causes of hunger. We do this by distributing food to our network of agencies, serving meals through our commercial kitchen, and offering more than 30 food-related programs.
