Crockett Co. 4-H Forecast M A R C H 2 0 1 0 District & Open Contest to be held in Ozona, TX Crockett County will host their annual Wool & Mohair Judging, Range Judging and Plant ID contest April 10, 2010 here in Ozona, TX. Along with the open contests Crockett County will also host the District contests as well. If you think you might be interested in volunteering please let us know. If you are thinking of joining the judging teams here are the practice dates. March 3, 2010 Range & Plant ID @ 4:30 Wool & Mohair @ 5:30 Crockett County 4-H Barn Coaches/Adult Leaders Carlon & Ann Stapper Ft Worth Stock Show Results March 4-H Meeting 3-1-2010 Allie Black, Crockett Co. 4-H member exhibited the Reserve Champion Fine Wool Whether lamb. Allie also exhibited a fifth place goat in the Jr. Goat Show. Murphey Black was second in the Hair Sheep division and third in the Jr. Lamb Show. Kelbie Renfroe placed second with her black and Wes McGuire placed third with his Fine Wool. @ 6:00PM @ 4-H Office Refreshments to be provided by Thomas Cruz, Taylor Newton & Brenna Hale

Clothing & Textiles Project Kick off for the Clothing & Textiles Project will be March 7, 2010 @ 2:00PM @ the 4-H office. Horse Validation All 4-H horse projects that plan on participating at the District Horse Show in Fort Stockton, including Futurity horses, must be owned and validated on or before May 1. This process begins at the county level with the appropriate paperwork and a $10 fee/horse. So come by before May 1st if you plan on participating at District.
