ISI Recreational Team Competition This event is open to ALL SKATERS,ALL AGES, & LEVELS. Learn to Skate USA and all USFS Skaters are welcome and encouraged to participate under the ISI/USFS Joint Statement of Policy. The competi-tion committee will assist you in selecting your events and determining your ISI test levels. We will also assist you in crossing over to the ISI System and filling out your application. Events will include a collegiate grouping at every level. Collegiate skaters who are not current ISI Members may join ISI for an additional $15.00 fee. Entry forms must be postmarked by June 17, 2017. If mailed after this date, please include a late fee of $50.00 in addition to the entry fees. There will be no exceptions. All entry fees must be paid before competing. RoseGarden Ice Arena reserves the right to limit the number of entries, eliminate events, and refuse late entries. There will be no refunds given. Returned checks are subject to a fee of $35.00. Entry forms must be completed in its entirety. All judges must be current Professional members of the Ice Skating Institute. All team coaches must submit the judges entry form by the competition deadline and all information submitted will be verified with the ISI national office. The judges schedule will be available prior to the start of the event. A schedule of events will be emailed to all skaters and to participating team coaches as soon as it s available. The full competition schedule will be posted on www.rosegardenicearena.com and on www.isidistrict3.com Please be sure all email addresses are legible. You will only receive notification if we can read your application Only CDs will be accepted with one track per disc. CDs must be CR-R (CD-R music or CD-WR will NOT be accepted). Always have a duplicate on hand in case of problems. Music must be handed in one hour prior to the event and can be picked up at the music table near the exit after the each event is completed Individual awards will be given to all competitors in all events. Medals will be awarded for first through sixth place. This is a team competition. Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams. Team points for all individual, partner and team events will be awarded as follows: 1st Place / 6 Points, 2nd Place / 5 points, 3rd Place / 4 Points, 5th Place / 2 Points, and Participation / 1 Point. Team Points will be awarded for all events To be eligible to compete, skaters must be registered as an individual or professional member of ISI. Skaters who are not current ISI members must add $15.00 to your first event. All entrants must be registered at their highest test level with ISI by June 17. 2017 and must compete at that level. Members of the USFS who are also ISI individual members may compete in accordance with the ISI/USFS Joint Statement of policy. USFS skaters must check with their home club to determine if they need a letter of permission to compete. USFS skaters must pass the ISI test level in which they wish to compete and must register those test results with ISI. The ISI skating level must be based on a skater s USFS test level as specified in the ISI Handbook. The elements will be judged on the quality of the maneuvers. Skaters should come prepared to perform a choreographed routine, without music, showcasing the required elements in any order with minimal connecting steps. Tot-Freestyle 4 will skate on half ice. Freestyle 5-10 will use the full ice surface. Jump and Spin: A Jump and Spin Team consists of two skaters from the same category level, but they do not need to be the same test level. Skaters may skate up a level but not down. The skaters enter the ice together. The first skater performs the jump of their choice two times. Then the second skater performs the spin of their choice two times. Skaters bow and exit ice. Skaters will perform the dance step from their test level two times. Delta and FS 1 skaters will perform two sets of outside and inside edges, covering the width of the ice. Skaters will be judged on correctness, edge quality, flow, posture & carriage, and pattern. Spin Challenge: ***Special $15.00 as an additional event The mastery of this event is to be the last skater spinning. All skaters will start spinning at the same time and keep restarting their spin until a fall, stumble or loss of position causes them to stop spinning. This event is open to skaters of all levels and will be grouped as follows: PreAlpha-Delta: Continuous Two Foot Spin FS1-4: Continuous Upright Change Foot Spin FS 5-10: Continuous Change foot sit spin Couples Interpretive Open to skaters of all levels and all rules for the interpretive event will apply. Skaters will be grouped as follows: Low (PreAlpha-Delta), Medium (FS1-FS4), High (FS 5-FS 10) by the level of the highest skater. Skaters will be judged on unison, choreography, pattern, musical interpretation, creativity, correctness, and posture & carriage. Team Interpretive: *** Special $15.00 per skater Open to groups of three or more skaters. Skaters of any test level may compete together. Teams will be given their music at the competition registration desk. Music will be available at the opening of registration on the day of competition. Judging criteria is unison, choreography and pattern, musical interpretation, creativity, correctness, and posture & carriage. Skaters will have from the time they competition opens to the start time of the event to create their routine. To keep the event fun and fair, we ask that you receive no help from other skaters or coaches. Solo Surprise Individual skaters will be grouped by test level and will be asked to perform appropriate maneuvers for their levels which may or may not involve specific skating skills Team Surprise: *** Special $10.00 per skater Same criteria as solo surprise with 4 skaters on a team. Teams will compete at the test level of the highest level skater. Skaters of any level may combine to form a team. Element Team Consists of 3-4 skaters, from the same category level, but they do not need to be the same test level. Skaters may skate up a level but not down. All the teams in the event enter the ice and choose a position along the barrier. Moves are announced and when directed, the representative from each team performing that move will do that move two times then return to the team. Once all four moves have been completed by all teams in the event, all skaters will exit the ice. Low (PreAlpha-Beta): Left One foot glide, right one foot glide, backwards swizzles, forward crossovers in a figure eight, and Left T Stop (right foot behind) Medium (Gamma-Delta): Left forward outside three turn, forward inside edges, hockey stop, bunny hop Intermediate (FS 1-4): Forward Spiral, One foot spin, Salchow jump, and Flip Jump High (FS 5-10): Axel, Flying Camel, Split Lutz, and Double Toe Loop

Should any skaters on my team participating in the 2017 Tournament of Roses prove, in the national exit audit, to either be non-members of the ISI or have skated at untested level(s), I accept that any team points accrued from their performance(s) will be deducted from the team point total, as well as a 25(twenty-five) point penalty per non-compliant skater. The participation of any Professional, as a judge representing my team who is either a Professional non-member or non-compliant in their judge's certification(s) will result in a team point penalty of 50 (fifty) points. I agree to be available throughout the competition as team coach. I agree to make sure we have judges available to fill all of our required judging slots. I have let all of the judges know that a judging requirement takes precedence over putting a skater on the ice. All judges are registered with and certified by the ISI as of June 17, 2016.
