ELIGIBILITY Swimmer s age as of the start of the meet will determine his or her age for the en@re meet. USA Swimming registered athletes and FINA registered athletes are eligible. All swimmers must be registered prior to compe@ng. Entries listed as "Registra@on applied for" will not be accepted. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be cer@fied by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member- coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. ENTRIES Swimmers may enter a maximum of one event on Friday, three (3) individual events plus relays on Saturday & Sunday. Host club reserves the right stop accep@ng entries aeer the total count reaches 700 athletes but not a hard cap. RELAYS All relays are @med finals. Teams are only alloged 2 relays each age group offered (A & B). Coaches must check in all relays no later then one- half hour before the start of the session on the day of that relay. All relay names are due to the table by the start of the meet. Changes may be made un@l the start of the actual event, but must be clearly noted on the relay card. First and last names, age and the order of the swimmers must be legibly wrigen on all relay cards. MEET FORMAT - NO TIME STANDARDS! - FRIDAY & SUNDAY are Timed Final events - SATURDAY is Prelim- Final - Top eight finalist will swim at night in the 10 & Unders, 11-12. - Top 16 in the 13-14 Boys - Top 24 in the 13 & Over Girls, 15 & Over boys - All swimmers par@cipa@ng in the 1000 must provide their own counter and @mer. EMAIL ENTRIES The following guidelines must be followed for e- mail entries. 1.) Official entry forms and all entry fees and swimmer surcharges are due within 72 hours of receipt of entry. 2.) E- mail entries must be in the form of a Hy- tek or SDIF file. You must zip the file so that it arrives to the entry chair intact. 3.) Your club s en@re entry must be sent in one email. Please do not flood us with several emails which compose one single team entry. The host club accepts no responsibility for receipt or quality of transmission. ENTRY DEADLINE Entries must be sent to the Meet Directors. They will not be accepted before 8:00 am on FRIDAY October 6th, 2017 or aeer October 13th. Entries MUST be sent ini@ally by electronic mail. POSITIVE CHECK- IN All events are posi@ve check- in. The following events MAY be limited to the top 32 checked- in entries: 400 IM & 400 Free. Teams will be no@fied of any inten@on to limit events aeer entries have been received and given an opportunity to change events. All Mid- Day events (11-12 and 10- Under) will also have posi@ve check- in and that will close 45mins before session starts. 1000 Free - Check- in for the 1000 free will be separate from the other Friday PM events. Meet director will walk around and check in with coaches. SCRATCHING FROM CONSULATIONS & FINALS Any swimmer qualifying for a consola@on final or final race in an individual event who fails to compete in said consola@on final or final race shall be barred from further compe@@on for the remainder of the SESSION. Disqualifica@on under this sec@on shall only apply to swimmers qualifying based on the original preliminary results. In the event of withdrawal or barring of a swimmer from the session, the referee shall fill the consola@on final or final when possible with the next qualified swimmer(s). Listed alternates are announced along with the final qualifiers. These alternates shall be based on original preliminary results prior to any scratches. These alternates shall not be penalized if not available to compete in the finals. When consola@on finals have not yet been swum and a barring or withdrawal is known to the referee, the referee shall reseed the consola@on final and final, if necessary, by inser@ng the alternate(s) in the appropriate lane(s), filling all lanes in finals. If a consola@on final has been contested, the companion final shall be swum without reseeding for empty lanes. Finals shall include those events deck seeded but swum as @med finals in prelim finals compe@@on. Swimmers must declare their intent to scratch within thirty (30) minutes aeer the ini@al pos@ng of the individual event results. Swimmers must officially scratch within thirty (30) minutes aeer their last individual event. RULES & SAFETY All current USA Swimming and ISI Rules and Regula@ons apply. All ISI and USA Swimming safety rules will be strictly enforced. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permiged in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Except where venue facili@es require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. WARM UP PROCEDURE Pending on the number of entries we may assign lanes if needed but everyone is expected to follow ISI Warm up and safety procedures. USA SWIMMING MEMBERSHIP Insurance regula@ons require that all swimmers, coaches, judges, starters, and referees be a current member of USA Swimming, Inc. It is each club's responsibility to register their swimmers, coaches, and officials. Swimmers, coaches, and officials who are not current members of USA Swimming, Inc. may not par@cipate in the meet nor be on the pool deck. Be sure to display your creden@als in order to gain access to the pool deck. SWIMMERS WITH DISABILITIES In accordance with USA Swimming Rules, Ar@cles 105 and 202.1.13, the Meet Referee has the authority to accommodate swimmers with disabili@es. It is the responsibility of the coaches or swimmers to contact the Meet Referee with specific requests.
AWARDS Ribbons will be awarded for 1st - 8th place in each individual event ONLY. No awards for relays. Swimmers in the 13-14 and 15 & Over age groups will not receive ribbons. SEEDING All events will be seeded slowest to fastest. Be sure to enter your times in order of Fastest Short Course Yards (SCY) @me first, then Short Course Meets (SCM), and then Long Course Meters (LCM) CONCESSIONS Food and beverage will be available. Food may be eaten in the glass commons, the area behind the star@ng end of the pool with a glass wall that permits viewing of the meet. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the high school campus by state law. PARKING & ADMISSIONS Par@cipants and spectators are requested to park in the "D" Lot. There will be an admissions charge for all spectators 13 and older. AWARDS Individual High Point Award: 1st Boy/Girl per age group.
