EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK in the heart of the khumbu himalaya Day 01 Arrive Kathmandu, meet our taff and tranfer to Hotel On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport you will be received by our ground taff who will ecort you to a hotel in the city centre, where one of our guide will give you a briefing on the hotel, Kathmandu, trekking and camping, and other related information that you might require while in Nepal. Day 02 Half day guided ighteeing tour in Kathmandu. O/N Hotel After your firt night in Kathmandu, you will have the opportunity to take a half-day guided ighteeing tour in Kathmandu. Day 03 Fly to Lukla (2,900m). Trek to Phakding, 3-4 hour Thi morning you will fly into Lukla, from where you begin your trek into the Khumbu region. The view from the plane are tunning, providing dramatic cene of terraced hill and the ditant Himalayan giant. After landing we meet our ground crew and begin a 3-4 hour trek to Phakding (2,635m), our night' reting place. Day 04 To Namche Bazaar (3,450m), 5-6 hour We continue trekking along the bank of the Dudh Koi, croing thi roaring river on exciting upenion bridge laden with prayer flag. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climb teeply with breathtaking view to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region. Day 05 Sighteeing in Namche Bazaar Today i et aide a a ret and acclimatiation day in Namche Bazaar. Namche i the Sherpa capital and a butling village, filled with market and traditional Sherpa houe. We will leave on an early morning hike to the Sherpa Mueum from where we can ee view of Mt. Everet, Lhote (the 4th highet peak in the world) and the beautiful Ama Dablam. The Sherpa Mueum houe an exhibit on traditional Sherpa lifetyle and alo a fabulou photography diplay, which you will have time to view. The ret of the day i for private exploration of thi enchanting place. We meet for dinner in the evening. Day 06 To Tyangboche (3,864m), 4-5 hour From Namche Bazaar, we trek along the contour of the hill en route to Thyangboche, with amazing view into the deep and luh valley below. Our route will take u through the piritual centre of the Khumbu. There i the option of a light hike up the valley for a wider variety of photo and view of the pectacular 6,000m peak of Tawoche, Cholate, Iland Peak and the 8,000m wall of Lhote. On a clear day one may ee Mount Makulu, a giant of more than 8,000m and the 5th highet mountain in the world. Day 09 To Lobuche (4,900m) From Pheriche the trail travere through farmland and meadow. We will top in Dzugla (4,570m) for lunch before continuing along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Today we pa by the tone memorial to climber who have died on the mountain around u. Day 10 Gorak Shep (5,410m) and Kala Pattar (5,550m) An early morning tart bring u cloer to our two objective. We wind our way through the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier to our accommodation at Gorak Shep, ituated at the bae of Kala Patthar. Thi wa the original Bae Camp ued by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on their ucceful acent of Everet, before the Bae Camp moved cloer to the mountain on the edge of the Khumbu Icefall. From Gorak Shep we acend the non-technical Kala Patthar (5,550m) and are rewarded for our effort by unforgettable view. From thi lofty perch we can clearly ee the ummit of Mount Everet, Nupte, Lhote and Ama Dablam. Thi i imply an amazing panorama and we'll allow ample time to avor the reward of our effort. Day 11 To Everet Bae Camp (5,346m), 4-5 hour Today we will journey toward our goal, the Bae Camp of Mount Everet, located at the foot of the Khumbu Icefall. We'll pend the night at Everet/Lhote Bae Camp, giving you a chance to thoroughly explore thi hitoric area. Day 12 Decend to Pangboche (3,985 m), 6-7 hour Today we follow the route back down the Khumbu valley to Pangboche in readine for the next phae of our expedition. Day 13 To Namche Bazaar (3,440m), 6-7 hour Back down to what will eem after all our time in the hill the booming town of Namche. Get ready for all thoe luxurie you may have mied.
Day 14 To Lukla (2,840m), 6-7 hour Our lat day on the trail, we hike from Namche to Lukla. We tay overnight in Lukla where you ll enjoy a good meal and a drink. Day 15 Fly to Kathmandu (1,350m) The cenic morning flight back to Kathmandu give u one lat chance to ay farewell to the mountain. We will have the day to explore, go hopping, and viit the palace and market.
