Calendar items Branch Board riding date 21/4/2018 clash with Aussies Branch Patrol Competition new date 22/10/2017 Northern Beaches calendar received Carnival dates were discussed including: Best of the Best Boats carnival moving to 24/3 avoiding a clash with SLSNSW Coffs Harbour Craft carnival has been cancelled for 2017 and the Streets organising committee is investigating a request to add another boating event Branch Board riding date discussed with proposed date being May or June 2018 depending on advice from Bob Montgomery Sydney Northern Beaches request for SLSCC to host a carnival in 2018 was discussed and agreed on 24 March 2018 Determine suitable date in May or June 2018 after discussions with Bob Montgomery Notify Sydney Northern Beaches that SLSCC will host a carnival on 24 March 2018 Create program for new carnival Board of Surf Sports only Minutes 26 July 2017 Page 2 of 5

Carnival positions for 2017/18 process to be confirmed Scrutineer Coordinator Carnival Announcer Water Safety Coordinator Carnival IRB Coordinator Referee Stewards Juniors, Opens and Masters The carnival positions process was discussed and it was agreed that it was agreed that the BOSS would approach relevant members to fill the positions. Identify and contact members for 2017/2018 carnival positions Referees to be approached once locations are finalised Identify candidates for SEMC by review Surfguard records and Official records for members with SMBM and Bronze Medallion Investigate breathable material for Official hi vis vests 6.4. EOI received for 2017/18 carnivals The carnival host EOI nominations as well as possible venues for other events. Host nomination summary to be updated once EOI close including Board & Ski, Streets Boats and Terrigal carnival Branch Patrol Competition, Champion Lifesaver and First Aid championships funding for host clubs to be reviewed Host Agreements carnivals be reviewed to ensure official requirements are correct 6.5. SLSCC Support Officer Chris Styant Calendar dates for 2017/2018 season have been added to the calendar including U12-Open carnival on 21/10 deleted Branch Patrol competition moved 17/2 to 14/10 to 22/10 Board meeting descriptions updated to clarify board/club attendance Official Hi Vis vests will be replaced as they are needed. The Ausgrid Marshall vests are being replaced this season. (1605B 04) Nutri-grain and Summer of Surf dates were obtained with Summer of Surf dates being included in the calendar (1704 B01) NPJIP adding ski to existing event for U17 s reviewed and U17 Ironperson events are not to include a surf ski leg. NPJIP clash with Development camp on 18/11 solved by moving Development camp to 11/11 (201706 A02) Branch board riding dates not provided to Bob Montgomery as the 21/4 date clashes with Aussie so will wait for new date. (201706 A03) SLSCC calendar provided to BOSS members, Hunter branch, SNB branch and SLSNSW ((201706 A04&5) Branch Patrol Championship date reviewed by Cathy Cole and finalised on 22/10/17 to be confirmed by BOSS (201706 A06) 10.2. Manager of Officials - Toni Jennar New official course will be online with no face to face training but on the beach mentoring is still anticipated. There is no date set but it is expected to be ready by September / October 2017. The price of the course is not known at this stage but expected to follow the Coaching framework 10.3. Manager of Representative Teams Brett Harrod The management team has be endorsed by SLSCC. Stockton Pack Holiday Park may be available due to a cancellation. Branch is following up on changing accommodation. 10.4. Manager of Carnivals - Chris Gathercole Nothing to report 10.5. Manager of Boats Phil Lytham Preseason meeting was held on 24/6/2017 with minutes circulated to clubs New online entry form and circular ASRL Open at Eloura 2018 and further response to SLSA Coffs Harbour carnival has been cancelled so the Streets organising committee have been approached to host another event.
