7:00-10:00 PM FFA Jr. High Prom SATURDAY: 9:30 AM Track-Wausa Inv. at Pierce 9:30 Golf at Osmond - RHCC NEWS FOR TODAY: On Thursday, April 13th, the Bloomfield track and field squads competed at the O'Neill Invite where the girls finished in 9th and the boys in 5th place. Those medaling in the top 3 were: Bree Eisenhauer 2nd in both the 3200 and 1600, Amber Bruegman, 3rd in the PV, Travis Doerr 3rd in PV, Cole Bruns 1st in shot, Trenton Holz 2nd in 400, the 4X400 relay team of Trenton Holz, Will Fehringer, Luke Fehringer, and Braden Eisenhauer finished in 3rd, and the 4X800 relay team of Dawson French, Dylan Kauth, Will Fehringer, and Dade Davis finished in 3rd. The Bloomfield Junior High Girls Track Team won the Hartington-Newcastle Junior High Early Bird Track Invitational on April 13, 2017. The team scored 117 points to beat out the second place teams who tied with 85 points each-- Hartington-Newcastle and Hartington CC. Every member of the team gave it their all and they all did their part to win this plaque for Bloomfield. Placing for the girls were as follows: Discus: Aubrey Jeannoutot 6th and Jaiden Johnson
3rd. Pole Vault: Brynn Bargman - 3rd, Kaitlyn Young, 2nd, and Ella McFarland 1st. Triple Jump: Grace Kuchar, 6th. Shot Put: Jaiden Johnson, 5th and Aubrey Jeannoutot, 3rd. 100 Meter hurdles: Lauren Pinkelman, 3rd. 200 Meter Hurdles: Brynn Bargman, 4th and Alexandra Eisenhauer, 1st with a time of 33.47. The 4x100 consisting of Ella McFarland, Brynn Bargman, Aubrey Jeannoutot, and Lauren Pinkelman placed 3rd. 100 Meter Dash: Kate Bruns, 3rd. 200 Meter Dash: Lauren Pinkelman, 1st with a time of 28.84. 400 Meter Dash: Kate Bruns, 2nd and Alexandra Eisenhauer, 1st 1:08.35. 800 Meter run: Kate Bruns, 6th. 4x200 relay team consisting of Brynn Bargman, Aubrey Jeannoutot, Kaitlyn Young, and Lauren Pinkelman placed 3 rd. 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Ella McFarland, Kate Bruns, Heidi One-Feather, and Alexandra Eisenhauer ended the track meet on top with a 1st place finish with a time of 4:51.49. Also competing for the team were Emelie Johnson, Selma Pena, Tyreen Furagganan, Jaidyn Warrior, Katie Kuhlman, and Jayden Hochstein. The Jr. High boys traveled to Hartington for their Early Bird Track Meet. The boys performed well overall. Placing 7th was Tyson Sauser in the triple jump, Cole Miller in the 400, Cody Bruegman in the long jump & Hudson Barger in the 200 hurdles. Placing 6th was Dalton Gieselman in the shot put,
Tyson Sauser in the 200 hurdles and the 4 X 200 relay team of Gage Pederson, Gabe Lauck, Alfred Babcock, & Dalton Gieselman. Placing 5th was Alfred Babcock in the shot put and Gabe Lauck in the discus. Placing 3rd was Ryan Johnson in the pole vault. In 2nd place was Gabe Lauck in the shot put and Cody Bruegman in the 200. First place finishers were Tyson Sauser in the pole vault and Cody Bruegman in the 100. The boys finished with a total of 48 points and placing 6th overall. JBTP Juniors- 8 th pd is Reading & English homework & quiz. Please bring your charged laptops and headphones. The sessions will be held in the 3 rd floor meeting room. This is your last session! The 8 th graders are to report to Ms. Makings room at 9:00 AM for the NeSA English testing. It will last until lunchtime. The golf team will travel to Ponca today. The team is to be dismissed at 9:05 AM. They will depart 9:15 AM. Meet time is 11:30 AM. The track team will travel to Hartington for the Hartington/Newcastle Invitational. The team is to be dismissed at 11:20 AM. The team will depart at 11:30 AM. Meet time is 1:00 PM.
Juniors, ACT testing is tomorrow starting at 7:45 AM. It will be held in Mr. Kuchar s room and will last until lunchtime. There will be NeSA testing at 9:00 AM until lunchtime for the 7 th and 8 th graders tomorrow. 7 th graders are to report to Ms. Making s room for the English test and 8 th graders to Mrs. Beckmann s room for the Science test. There will be a NE Certification Course for boating on Saturday, June 3 from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. The course will be held at All Season s Power Sports in Yankton, SD. The cost of the course is $10.00. Deadline to register is May 31. See flyers on the bulletin boards around school. Another boating certification option - any student that would like to get their boating certifications to be compliant with state law that says anyone 14 and older who wants to operate a personal watercraft or any boat must have this certification. Anyone born after Dec 31, 1985 must have this certification. I will offer this class on Sunday, April 30 at Osmond School from 6:00 to 9:00 PM to anyone who would like to get certification.
