Hull RUFC pride themselves on their strong partnership link with Bishop Burton College where Hull coaches assist the College in their promotion of Rugby Union. In 2009 Hull Rugby Union joined forces with Bishop Burton College enabling them to offer Rugby Scholarships to candidates of outstanding sporting ability, who show evidence of achievement or potential at regional and/or national level. The overarching aim is to provide athletes with the best possible environment to achieve their academic and sporting goals. Introduction
Sponsorship Opportunities We continue to strive to improve ALL SECTIONS OF THE CLUB. Over the 2015/16 season, a huge focus of the club has been to support women and girls rugby, in addition to building the strength of the club s 1st XV and 2nd XV teams. This has been possible by the efforts of the rugby section lead by Chairman of Rugby, Chris Murphy and Director of Rugby, Gary Pearce, who lead dedicated coaches and back room staff. It is the club s intention to strengthen our current club teams while developing new sides to create more playing opportunities for women and children in Hull. The club is also very proud of having the only Women and Girls Section in the area. With a thriving senior women s team as well as a rapidly growing junior girls setup, with 3 teams at Under 13, 15 and 18 Girls. The club s main objective is not only to grow its junior and women s teams but also to integrate our current teams with the senior sides and strengthen our club links with local schools and colleges. The club currently plays their home matches at The Ferens Ground in Hull, which is a 15 acre site on Chanterlands Avenue in the city. We are always working hard to improve facilities and over recent seasons a number of investments have been made such as the construction of a new high quality pitch, changing rooms and spectator stand. We have a Partnership with Bishop Burton College and work closely with them to help coach and develop young elite players via their Academy Programme. Facilities
