Kilgore (Home) Homecoming Week 2016 has been exciting at Palestine ISD. A big crowd came out for the Homecoming Parade, Pep Rally, and Tailgate Party on Monday. John Absalom, coach of the Wildcat State Championship Soccer Team, was the Grand Marshall of the parade. Excitement has been the theme for our fall extracurricular teams - Volleyball, Fall Team Tennis, Cross Country, and Football. Each group is in full swing, the level of success is excellent, and spirit is high around the district. Next week is the last week of this grading period. Remind students to be sure they have turned in all assignments and to spend some quality time studying for their six weeks exams next week. GO WILDCATS! Welcome Home Alumni for Homecoming 2016! P a ge 2 Wildcat Weekly V olume 5: I ss u e 3 Go Wildcats Athletic Director: Robby Clark Palestine Athletics Homecoming week has been an exciting one for the Wildcats, and tonight will be a rare evening at Wildcat Stadium when two undefeated teams take the field, both with 3-0 records for the season. The Palestine Wildcats will play the Van Vandals, and tonight s game was picked as the KLTV Red Zone Game of the Week. The two teams have been spotlighted during the week on KLTV and will have extended coverage on the KLTV Red Zone tonight. Let s fill the stands at tonight s Homecoming game and cheer loud for the Wildcats! On Thursday night, the Palestine Tennis Team went 2-0 in district play with a 12-7 win over Madisonville. Way to go Tennis! The Ladycat Volleyball Team will play their first district game at home against Mexia on Tuesday, September 20th. All PISD Elementary students are invited and will have free admission into the game as long as they are wearing a spirit shirt and accompanied by a parent. Elementary students will get to stand on the court for the National Anthem. After the National Anthem, Elementary students will form a spirit line for the Ladycat Volleyball Team to run through as they are being announced. Go Wildcats! Coach Robby Clark
