Product description The Z560 Load adapter is intended for use with the Z559 Flying frame for arrays of Q loudspeakers to be suspended from a single flying point. The load adapter is supplied with one t Shackle and two locking pins mm (B) which are fixed to the adapter using a steel wire. The t Shackle also allows the application of the Z555 Hoist connector. A second hole ( : mm/0.4 ) opposite the t Shackle is provided to accept the Z547 Rota Clamp. The bottom row of holes ( :.5 mm/0.5 ) is split into two groups of four holes which, together with the respective hole above the hole labeled / (see (Fig. ), form a quad vernier. The Load adapter therefore allows a quad hole value between the hole grid of the bars of the flying frame. The applicable vernier scales for the chosen lifting devices t Shackle or Rota clamp are printed on both sides of the load adapter (see Fig. 3/4) INSERT SELECT SECOND PIN LIFTING POSITION BEFORE LIFTING AND INSERT PIN INSERT SELECT SECOND PIN LIFTING POSITION BEFORE LIFTING AND INSERT PIN Z547 Fig. 3: Z560 Vernier scale for t Shackle Fig. 4: Z560 Vernier scale for Rota Clamp Z560 Mounting instructions (. WARNING! WARNING!. Safety instructions The Z560 Load adapter must only be used in conjunction with the d&b Q-Series rigging accessories and loudspeakers as described in these mounting instructions and in the Q-Series Rigging manual. Installation should only be carried out by fully trained personnel observing the valid national Rules for the Prevention of Accidents (RPA). It is the responsibility of the person installing the assembly to ensure that the suspension/fixing points are suitable for the intended use. Secondary safeties must always be provided and used when flying or fixing loudspeaker loads overhead. 3. Load safety information The maximum permitted working load limit (WLL) of the Z560 Load adapter is 500 kg/00 lb in terms of using the shackle. Using the Z547 Rota Clamp the maximum permitted working load limit is 500 kg/00 lb (WLL/BGV C). The Load adapter must only be moved beyond the rear edge of the bar of the flying frame to such an extent that the / hole of the adapter is kept in line with the last hole (hole 7) of the flying frame. [] CAUTION LOCK PIN SECURELY BEFORE LIFTING ONLY UNLOCK FOR DISASSEMBLY ON GROUND [] Ensure both locking pins are inserted and locked securely before lifting the array. 4. Quick lock mechanism of the locking pins Pressing the button [B] releases the locking mechanism and allows the pin to be inserted into or removed from the load adapter and flying frame. Releasing the button [B] after the pin has been completely inserted locks the locking mechanism. Ensure that the pin is locked. A groove [G] (see Fig. 6) in the bolt of the pin indicates that it is properly locked. 6.. Attachment to the Z559 Flying frame and adjustment The hole in the top row of the frame bar which is appropriate to achieve the desired vertical aiming of the array is calculated using the d&b Q-Calc Array software. Depending on the chosen lifting device t Shackle or Rota Clamp the Load adapter is placed on the center bar of the Z559 Flying frame so that the suspension point is facing towards the back of the flying frame (see Fig. 7). Based on the value calculated by Q-Calc, the Load adapter needs to be adjusted as follows: Example : Hole 0 has been calculated - Fig. 8.. Place or move the Load adapter so that the hole of the bottom row marked with "/" is in line with hole 0 of the flying frame bar and fix it using the locking pin (❶).. Insert and lock the second locking pin in the resulting "free" hole (❷). Example : Hole 0+/4 has been calculated - Fig. 9.. Again place or move the Load adapter so that the hole of the bottom row marked with "/" is in line with hole 0 of the flying frame bar.. Now move the Load adapter towards the back of the frame until the hole of the bottom row marked with /4 is in line with the nearest hole on the flying frame bar and fix the adapter using the locking pin (❶). 3. Insert and lock the second locking pin in the resulting "free" hole (❷). The other two possible holes (0+/ - Fig. 0 and 0+3/4 - Fig. ) are adjusted in the same way as described in example. 5 0 5 0 Fig. 0: Hole 0 + / Fig. : Hole 0 + 3/4 Z560 Mounting instructions (. 7. Maintenance and care WARNING! To eliminate the potential risk of accident due to malfunctioning of a component, regularly carry out a visual and functional inspection of all system components. 7.. Test recommendations Visual inspection of the Load adapter including all holes of the component and the t Shackle for deformation and damage (e.g. cracks and corrosion). Inspection for missing ball bearings and damaged locking pins. Functional inspection of the ball bearings. Inspection of the release mechanism for proper functioning. 8.
