COCOPAH GAZETTE October 2017 A publication for the residents of Cocopah RV Greetings from the office staff! I hope you are all enjoying your autumn days whether you are in the park or are away. The weather here is absolutely wonderful currently. We just want to send a friendly reminder that you should call to notify us if you plan on returning anytime soon. This will help Sheila in the mailroom with the proper distribution of your mail. It also helps the office staff and the security employees know who is in the park. If there is anything we can do to assist you please give our office a call. We look forward to seeing you soon!! Carol Poirier, Golf Shop Manager Hello from the Golf Shop. The temperatures are coming down just in time for your return. The heat hasn t stopped the golfers. Our two high schools have had several tournaments in over 100 degree weather and we hosted another high school tournament that had 9 girls high school teams participate. The San Luis High School baseball team had a fundraiser tournament on September 9 th followed by MAC-1 Marine Core tournament on the 15 th this tournament was raising money for their Marine Ball that is coming up on the 24 th. We will host the annual Flores tournament and on the 30 th the annual Inman tournament. Both of these tournaments are scholarship fund raising tournaments for sons that passed away at early age. The following Monday, October 2 nd brings us to the start of over-seeding. Our plans are to try and have 9 holes open throughout the over-seeding process, but mother nature is going to have to help with the weather. We will start by leaving Holes 6,9,10 through 16 open. If you are playing 18 holes, you will play these holes twice. The remaining holes 1 through 5,7,8,17,& 18 will be the second set of holes to be over-seeded. Our hope is to have an incredible course for you when you arrive at your winter home. Sometimes around the 1 st of October we will take delivery of 40 new golf carts. These 2018 EZ-GO carts will all be equipped with headlights and taillights. These will be the carts we use for long term rentals. We will take phone reservations up to a month in advance as long as we have carts available. Here is the price list for rentals: Weekly $ 75.00 1 2 months $270.00 3 4 months $205.00 5 months or more $175.00 All of us here at Cocopah are looking forward to your return. Carol and staff. 2

Our over-seeding preparations will start October 2, 2017. We are doing holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17 and 18 first and then we are opening the front 9 and closing back around the middle of October. We are hoping that all 18 holes will be opened by November 1 st. We hope you have a great winter with us this coming season. Judy Ratajczyk, Activities Office WELCOME BACK SNOWBIRDS TO JOIN YOUR COCOPAH FAMILY HERE. Wow, what a wonderful season full of activities we have planned for you. I implemented a Master Monthly Calendar for our 2017-2018 Winter Season for Activities, Golf Course Tournaments and golf events and Cantina Schedule of events. Our season is full of events with great and some new entertainers, shows, dances, dinners, golf tournaments, cantina dinners and their fun egg game on Fridays and listening to your favorite songs from the Band on Sundays. Do you remember when we did the theme dinner/dances such as the Luau, Western, and Rock n Roll etc.? It was really a lot of fun and well attended and we d like to bring it back again. I also worked on implementing some new procedures and regulations that will alleviate past issues. We will ensure that all future activities and events will be a fun and enjoyable experience for all. We are here because of you and we want you to be here because Cocopah RV & Golf Resort is the very best place to be enjoying life. Now for a little back track. We had a Farewell Party for Chryshelle Seward, who worked in the Administration building for almost five years and who also always greeted you with a smile and friendly professional manner. We wish Chryshelle the very best. A very special recognition goes out to Patti Murphy for the amazing artistic work she did on our swimming pool mural this summer. Thank you Patti. 6
