LITTLE LEAGUE C A L I F O R N I A D I S T R I C T 8 July 4, 2016 Dear 10/11 District Champs, CA Section 6: On behalf of the 12 Little Leagues in California District Eight, I am pleased to welcome you to the 2016 California Section 6 baseball tournament for the 10/11 division which will be hosted by Western Little League at their field located at Madison Park, 2001 Michigan Avenue (behind Madison School) in Stockton, California. Please complete the team information form and return it to me by email as soon as possible and no later than July 11, 2016. Directions to Western LL can be found on our website D8LL.org. Click on the leagues tab and then click on Western LL and you will find a link that will provide directions. As the tournament progresses your fans at home can visit the CA District 8 website, which will be updated at the end of each day of play. I wish you all the best of luck and I hope your experience in Stockton is enjoyable. Opening Ceremonies will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 16. Please plan on arriving by 8 a.m. CA District 8 will provide an after-game meal for all players and coaches for the first game in which your team participates. The meal includes either a hot dog or nachos, and a soft drink. Please inform the snack bar prior to your game if your team would like the post-game meal. An order form will be provided for your use. 1 hour before game time: Team must arrive at the park Pre- and Post-Game Schedule Managers check in with the Tournament Director (Manager must have team affidavit and medical release forms) Managers review pitching record with Tournament Director Coin toss to determine home/visitor (home team is in 3rd base dugout/visitor is in 1st base dugout) 30 minutes before game time: Visitor takes 10 minute infield 20 minutes before game time: Home takes 10 minute infield 10 minutes before game time: Announcements, meetings with umpires, introduction of teams, national anthem End of Game: Managers meet with Tournament Director to review & sign pitching record Team affidavits are returned to Managers.
Safety First! All Little League safety rules and regulations will be enforced. Equipment that does not meet Little League standards and regulations will be removed from the playing field and dugouts and will be retained during the game by the tournament director. Equipment that is removed can be picked up at the end of the game from the tournament director. Good sportsmanship is a must! Profanity, throwing of equipment or other unsportsmanlike conduct is not allowed and may be cause for immediate ejection. We appreciate the dedication and service of our volunteers, particularly our volunteer umpires. Harassment of umpires by players, coaches or fans will not be tolerated. PLAY BALL!
Northern California Division II LITTLE LEAGUE, JUNIOR, SENIOR AND BIG LEAGUE TOURNAMENT DRESS CODE Following is the dress code in effect for all Northern California Division II Tournaments. Although this dress code may not apply to District and Section Tournaments, compliance is up to the DA hosting those tournaments. The tournament dress code must be included in the hosting tournament packets. 1. Little League Docker-type pants, slacks or hemmed shorts will be required for managers and coaches; no denim-type pants/shorts or camo pants/shorts will be allowed. Shorts, including tailored, cargo-type shorts, MUST be no higher than 2 inches above the knees and no lower than the knees. The pants, slacks or shorts must be the same color for the manager and coaches. Collared shirts or team jersey/shirt will be required and should be tucked in the pants. No tee shirts or tank tops will be allowed. 2. Junior/Senior League Managers and coaches may wear full uniforms. If not in full uniform, the same dress code for Little League will apply here. 3. Big League Managers and coaches may wear full uniform. 4. No open toe shoes or sandals will be allowed. 5. Team hats will be required on the manager and coaches. Note: For Softball, Managers and Coaches may wear a hat, visor or nothing as long as they are wearing the same head wear as the players. Any manager or coach who does not conform to the dress code will not be allowed on the playing field before or during the game. The purpose of the dress code is to insure an acceptable uniform appearance of all participants and to promote a positive role model for the players and spectators at the tournament sites.
