Event Procedures Staging and Call Up Staging and call up will be done as per the current UCI Regulations. That is, Call-up will be done based on the most recent UCI ranking. Anti-Doping Given the high level of sanction, it is anticipated that this event will be selected for doping controls. USADA legislations will apply in addition to CADF rules. The doping control station will be located within the venue, base lodge, first floor close to the start/finish area. While chaperones will be present to notify riders of selection for testing, team managers and riders are still advised that it is always their responsibility to check at the doping control station to see whether or not they are required for testing. Any rider entered in the event may be selected at random for testing not just those who place on the podium. Timing and Results Event timing will be provided by Laszlo Vatjay. In addition to manual scoring, a chip timing system will be in place. Please note the timing chip will be fixed to the back of each rider s number plate. For this reason it is important to not bend or disrupt the plate. Team and Vendor Expo Area A Team Pit area and Vendor Expo area are available. If you are interested in booking space in the Expo Area, please contact: Tim McCann to reserve space, 518-310-2727.
Courses Overview: The Windham Pro GRT/XCT courses epitomize the legendary aspects of east-coast riding in the U.S. The fast, steep downhill course is an electrifying blend of rocks, roots and dirt that will challenge racers and thrill spectators. All of the courses are comprised of hard-packed, reddish-brown clay based soil. DH courses (absent some new enhancements) were utilized during the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup events hosted at Windham and will be used again for 2017 HC class events. Prior to the UCI events, two U.S. National Mountain Bike Series races and three Gravity East series races were held on the same courses. Both the and the DHI courses at Windham have a proven history of enjoyable, safe and ultimately, world-class racing. The courses have received universally positive feedback.
