The PLT is a line throwing system based on compressed air as propellant. PNEUMATIC LINE THROWERS No flames or sparks when used. Ideal for use in Oil and Gas environments. All projectiles are re-useable. Easy aiming and very directional, even in heavy sidewind. Long life. Made of materials with long durability in maritime environments. Low cost use. Refilling of compressed air is all you need. The various launching tubes fits the same base unit and gives you access to a range of different projectiles for different applications. We also have a smaller shoulder launched model that operates with air or CO2. And with a variety of projectiles
PLT - Rescue 230 0575/05 Art no 2000 Meets the demands of Solas/IMO regulation 74/83, and recognised by Det Norske Veritas, Notified Body No: 0575 (EU-Approval NO: MED-B-2416), and similar organisations in other countries as a line-throwing appliances onboard ships. The base unit contains a built-in air cylinder for filling of compressed air up to 200/300 bars (2900/4350psi). This is sufficient for 4/6 shots before refilling is necessary. The air cylinder is fitted with standard fittings for diving and BA-equipment for filling of dry clean air from a high-pressure compressor. Projectiles : Delivered with four Rescue Projectiles and one Training Projectile. The Rescue Projectiles are made of ABS plastic with aluminium inner tube. The Rescue Projectiles are filled with 240m (263yd) nylon line, and can be reloaded and re-used. The Training Projectile is made of POM-plastic with a rubber tip. It does not carry the line inside, but a linebox with 120m/5mm (131yd/0.2in) line is enclosed for training. Loading-device: Delivered with injector w/handle for reloading the Safety-line into the Rescue projectiles. Simply connect to compressed air 5-10 bars (72-145psi) and the line is easily injected into the projectile. PLT - Rescue 125 Art no 3000 Line Throwing device with Rescue Projectiles. Intended used for smaller vessels that do not require a line throwing device complying with the Solas regulation. The Rescue Projectiles are filled with 170m (186yd) nylon line, and can be reloaded and re-used. The Training Projectile is made of POM-plastic with a rubber tip. It does not carry the line inside, but a linebox with 120m/5mm (131yd/0.2in) line is enclosed for training. PLT - Mooring 150 Art no 5000 The Mooring 150 is intended used as a working tool for establishing line connections from boat to boat, boat to dock or pier etc. Projectile: The device is delivered with two projectiles M150. Made from white POM-plastic with a rubber tip. The projectile floats. As standard it comes with a Linebox with 3,2mm (0.13in) line, but there are several options regarding the line. Recommended line for mooring operations is art no 6203 containing 120m/5mm (131yd/0.2in) HMPE-line with a breaking strength of approx. 1.900kg (4190lb). Shooting range Recoil max 5400N. depending on type of line. Ex: 3,2mm-1kg/250m (0.13in-4.4lb/274yd) gives a length of max 150m. 1 Art no 1005 PLT Basic with Air Cylinder 1 Art no 3303 Launching Tube M 150 2 Art no 7004 Projectiles Mooring 150 1 Art no 5202 Line box-150 (150 metres (164yd) of 3,2mm (0.13in) braided polypropylene, breaking strength 200kg (440lb). PLT - Mooring 75 Art no 6000 The Mooring 75 has been designed for establishing a line connection between vessels, and for docking. The soft PVC-ball projectile will cause minimal damage if objects are hit. The ball is partly filled with air and partly with a coolant preventing it to freeze in arctic areas. Projectile: The PLT Mooring-75 is delivered with two soft PVC ball-projectiles partly filled with coolant to prevent freezing. The colour is orange and they are equipped with an attachment lug for fastening the line. The lineweight must not exceed 1,5kg/100m (3.3lb/109yd). We recommend using Linebox-75 or Linebox-75 HMPE for these projectiles. Shooting range Depending on the line. When using a 5mm (0.2in) braided HMPE, max. 90m.
