steel ramps A leading manufacturer of steel ramps Our steel ramps have been designed to offer the best all-round riding surface for all wheeled sports whether you ride skateboard, bmx, scooters or inline skates. The Urban Pro XV coating increases grip on the wheels for more control whilst retaining a smooth ride. Hot-dipped galvanized copings and grind rails The galvanizing process means that even after years of heavy use and grinding these parts will still look good and be rust free. Enclosure panels Our ramps come with enclosure panels as standard. This helps reduce noise as well as reducing litter and waste build up underneath the ramps. Fixing free riding surface All factory welding is carried out on the underside of the ramps so there is no need for fixings to attach the riding surface. Thick riding surface Our riding surface is 4mm thick making it very strong. All the edges of the riding surface have a 3mm radius. Personalised panels We have incorporated our personalised panels into the guard rails. This offers the opportunity to make your ramp unique with an image or name of your choice. Vertical guardrails The guardrails are hot-dip galvanized steel which is tough and corrosion resistant, the vertical design allows airflow, increased visibility and minimises the likelihood of climbing. Modular design We have designed our ramps to be modular therefore this allows more flexibility in our skate park designs and keeps installation times to a minimum. Maintenance panels Incorporated into our enclosure panels we have maintenance access panels allowing for quick and easy access if the need arises without dismantling the entire ramp. Urban Pro XV Polyester Powder coat Our skate surface is coated with a unique hard wearing anti-slip grip finish that is baked onto our ramps during the manufacturing process. This not only offers the ultimate ride but also great anti-corrosion protection and grip. Tamper resistant fixings All of the fixings we use are made from stainless steel and the pin hex head bolts can only be removed using specialist tools. Laser cut frame work By using a 4mm laser cutting technology to cut our framework, we are able to keep our tolerances to a minimum which allows us to maintain the best ramp geometry. This creates ramp sections that fit together perfectly giving a seamless look and feel. 6
Bank Ramp A bank ramp is usually Height used as a start ramp 900mm because of the steep 1200mm angle, this allows users 1500mm to gain enough speed to 1800mm start their flow through the area. Bank Ramp with Kicker A Bank Ramp with Height Kicker is a flat ramp 1200mm with the addition of a 1500mm curved dip and can be used in the same way as either a bank ramp or a quarter pipes. Piano Bank Ramp A Piano Bank is a Height flat ramp that leads 1200mm to a platform with a 1500mm vertical lip creating a 1800mm mini wall transition. Stairs A set of traditional steps can add that something different to most ramp sections to create a custom fun box. Height 600mm 900mm 1200mm 1500mm 1800mm Quarter Pipe A quarter pipes is a Height traditional ramp and is 600mm most commonly used 900mm as a start ramp, it is 1200mm made up of a transition, 1500mm coping and deck. 1800mm Quarter Pipe Raked A raked quarter Height pipe combines two 1200-1500mm different height 1500-1800mm quarter pipes with a sloped deck to combine the two. Roll-In A Roll-in is similar to quarter pipes, however instead of a coping edge there is a smooth flowing transition. Height 1200mm 1500mm 1800mm Rollover A roll over is a simple Height but effective unit that 900mm can be used in the 1200mm centre of a park as a simple up and over element. *All ramps are shown at 2400mm wide and 1500mm high (or closest available size) 7
Half Pipe A half pipe is a Height combination of two 900mm opposing transitions 1200mm with a flat bottom in the middle and decks 1500mm 1800mm on either side. Half Pipe with 2.5 Rollers This is the same as a Height half pipe but with the 1200mm addition of a roll over 1500mm in the middle between the two transitions. Half Pipe with Spine This is the same as a Height half pipe but with the addition of a spine 1200mm 1500mm ramp in the middle between the two transitions. Aero Gap A combination of 2 bank ramps, one being higher than the other creating a Gap for users to fly over. Height 900mm Euro Gap A combination of two Height bank ramps with a step section in the 600mm 900mm middle creating a 1200mm Gap for users to jump across. Jump Box A combination of a Height quarter pipes and 300mm a bank ramp with 600mm a platform in the 900mm middle. 1200mm 1500mm Spine A spine ramp is a combination of two curved kickers joined back to back to create a transition. Wedge, Flat, Wedge Also known as a Height driveway, this features two launch ramps and a platform that can be used to perform jumps 300mm 600mm 900mm 1200mm and build up speed. Pyramid Corner (Bank) Used as a corner to Height fill the void between two Bank ramps 90 900mm 1200mm degrees from each 1500mm other. 1800mm Pyramid Corner (Radius) Used as a corner to Height fill the void between two curved ramps 90 600mm 900mm degrees from each 1200mm other. 1500mm 1800mm Launch Ramp (Radius) Also known as a Kicker Height ramp, this can also be 300mm used to launch a user into the air. Launch Ramp (Wedge) Otherwise known as a Height kicker ramp, A launch 300mm ramp can be used as 600mm a standalone element that allows users to launch themselves into the air. Picnic Table This looks like a Height traditional picnic table 1300mm and can be used in the same way if needed, but can be used to grind and also used in a street course. Skate Bench Very similar to the Height Picnic table and can be 420mm used as a traditional bench also, but this one has been designed to be used as street item. case study Client: Aylesford Parish Council Project Type: Supply & Install Budget: 47,000 User StYle: Street & Vert Customer requirements. Due to the state of the existing park we were able to treat the project as a blank canvas and for this reason we felt it was important to speak with the locals that would be using the park in order to truly understand what they wanted. This was a great opportunity that allowed us to show them some potential elements that they may have previously been unaware of. Before Our solution As the site is a narrow tarmac pad we created a design that enables a good flow from one ramp to another whilst allowing lots of users to ride the ramps at the same time. Our expert designers made sure the park is fully compliant with EN 14974 to ensure it is as safe to use as possible. Customer feedback Aylesford Parish Council Clerk, Neil Harris, was very happy with the entire process from the early stages of consultation, through design and onto installation. The fact that local people were involved from the beginning meant the park would be more respected and looked after. During installation many of the locals were calling up eager to find out when they would be able to use the park. Project background Aylesford Parish Council got in touch with Urban Ramps regarding the existing skate park in Eccles. It was becoming tired and had clearly passed its prime. The council had repaired it several times over the years so decided to stop repairing and start replacing, ideally in time for the summer holidays.
