VIRGINIA PREMIER LEAGUE Virginia Premier League ( VPL ) aims to provide a pathway toward national-level programming - U.S. Soccer Development Academy & Elite Clubs National League - for players of its member clubs. VPL provides a club-centric competition platform to maximize player and coaching development. It is a dual-affiliate (US Youth Soccer & US Club Soccer) league to ensure opportunities for its members to participate in VYSA State Cup and ODP. Each 13U-19U division winner earns a birth in the US Club Soccer NPL Finals. The Player Development Program ( PDP ) adds an identification and development process for players outside the Development Academy toward US Club Soccer id2.
NPL OVERVIEW The US Club Soccer National Premier League ( NPL ) is a national competition platform created to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape by: extending developmental principles espoused by U.S. Soccer into more age groups and clubs linking competition with player development and identification platforms providing meaningful weekly competition culminating in the NPL Finals.
