Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do not let them handle machines, tools, extension cords, or air hoses. 4. Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Always lock up tools and keep out of reach of children. 5. Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool. There are certain applications for which this tool was designed. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended. Do not modify this tool and do not use this tool for a purpose for which it was not intended. 6. FIGURE 1 Operation Lever (9) Air Tip (7) Fluid Cap (1) Jar Adapter (3) Air Valve Connector (15) Jar (6) Air Hose (16) Mixing and Thinning Paints Before attempting to spray any paints through the Spray Gun, dilute them according to the manufacturer s directions, for use with Spray Guns. General Rules: 1. If mixing colors, only mix together the same types of paints (i.e. lacquer with lacquer or acrylic with acrylic). 2. Thin paint according to paint manufacturer s directions. Typically, enamel and lacquer paints are diluted with one part thinner to one part paint. 3. Before spraying make sure the diluted paint is thoroughly mixed. 4. Mix the paint in a clean jar. We recommend straining the paint before filling the Jar (6). Attaching the Air Hose (16) and the Jar (6) to the air supply 1. Fill the Jar (6) with strained paint. Do not fill over 2/3 full. 2. Carefully thread on the Jar Lid (3). 3. Attach one end of the Air Hose (16) to the Air Inlet (15) on the Air Brush. Attach the other end of the Air Hose (16) to the regulator (not included) which then attaches to the air supply using the 1/4 NPT Adapter (17). The air source must be adjustable between 15 and 50 PSI. Thoroughly read the instructions and safety warnings provided with the air compressor and air regulator before using. Page 4

Adjusting Paint Flow and Air Flow 1. Use the air regulator (not included) to regulate air flow. You must purchase a regulator that can be adjusted to between 15 and 50 PSI. Since there is no pressure gauge you will have to test the Air Brush on a piece of scrap material to determine the desired setting. 2. On the Air Brush, turn the Fluid Cap (1) to adjust paint flow. For maximum flow, turn the cap counterclockwise. For minimum flow, turn the cap clockwise. See FIGURE 1 on page 4 and the assembly drawing on page 6. Spray Painting 1. In a well ventilated area, press the Lever (9) to test the spray on test material. Hold the Air Brush six inches from the material and make the necessary adjustments. 2. Practice spraying even strokes to avoid drips. Note: Since enamels and lacquer paints dry quickly, do not leave the Air Brush for more than a few seconds or the paint may dry and clog the Air Brush. 3. Have a spare Jar (6) filled with thinner or water, depending on the type of paint being sprayed. 4. When finished spraying, release pressure on the Lever (9). Immediately remove the paint jar from the Air Brush and attach the spare Jar (6). Continuously spray on scrap white paper until the paint residue in the Air Brush is sprayed out. Cleaning 1. Remove excess paint from the Jar (6) and clean thoroughly. 2. Spray thinner or water (depending on the paint used) through the Air Brush until it is entirely clean. Plug up the Fluid Cap (1) with a soft cloth and force air and solution through the cap and tip. Troubleshooting If the Air Brush becomes clogged, disconnect from the air source and clean as stated above. Next, gently un-thread (counterclockwise) the Fluid Cap (1) and Air Tip (7). Clean the parts in thinner and replace. Page 5
