Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America World Qualifying Show Section 20206/20207 - September 10, 2016 10:00 am Entries close August 1, 2016 Entry Fee Adult / Open Regular Entry Fee for each animal in the Adult/Open is $30.00 (late fees if applicable) and must accompany the entry. Separate entries must be submitted to show in each section. $10 of the entry fee will go towards the Texas Longhorn Breeders of New Mexico (TLBNM). Parking Permit, Office and Exhibitor Pass fees (per person) must also accompany the entry. Youth Youth Entry Fee for each animal is $30.00. All animals shown in Youth competition must be entered in the Adult/Open qualifying show. All youth entries, fees and applications will be processed through the TLBNM youth sponsor (not NM State Fair) and MUST be postmarked no later than August 1, 2016. The NM State Fair will provide ribbons for Youth winners, all other awards provided by New Mexico Texas Longhorn Breeders of Tomorrow (NMTLBT). Eligibility & Rules 1. Entry forms must be completed and mailed by the entry deadline of August 1, 2016. Late entries will not be accepted after the late entry deadline of August 10, 2016. 2. Cattle can be double registered but must present their registration to the TLBAA. 3. The owner of the cattle entered in a qualifying show must be a member in good standing of the TLBAA. 4. All cattle must be 120 days of age to exhibit at any show. 5. The section on grooming of animals will be strictly adhered to. 6. Any female over 30 months of age must have either a nursing Texas Longhorn calf at side or the results of a pregnancy test listed on the health certificate. ***This applies to any female born before April 2014. 7. Calves shown with haltered dams must also be on halter and nursing calves (205 days or less) may be shown with its dam at the owner s discretion. 8. A dress code will be enforced at the show: * Western attire, long sleeve shirt with collar and cuffs. Western boots and western jeans are to be worn while in the ring. Western hats may be worn. Violators of this rule will be disqualified upon the discretion of the show chair, show secretary, and the TLBNM board of directors. * No ball caps will be allowed in the show ring at any point during the show, including during photographs and the pee wee show. 9. All Bulls will be shown at halter WITH NOSE LEAD. Bulls 12 months of age and older must be shown with a permanent nose ring and nose lead. Neck ties or neck straps must be used on all bulls over 12 months when secured in a stall. 10. No pending registrations will be accepted at time of show date. If the animal is pending at the time of entry, the animal must have a copy of its registration certificate shown to the Beef Superintendent at check in and before it will be allowed into the show ring. Please send in a copy of your registration. You must have a copy of your registration certificate at the time of check in. 11. The New Mexico State Fair will post all travel requirements for animals and those must be met at time of check in. TEXAS LONGHORN 3
