SAFETY LOCKOUT VALVES Wilkerson V8, V8/V8, and V9/V9 Safety Lockout Valves conform to OSHA lockout regulation 9 CFR Part 9 governing the control of hazardous energy sources for equipment used in manufacturing/service industries, and machinery requiring maintenance, service, setup, or repair. Wilkerson s valves are manually operated, slide-type -way valves. In the closed position, downstream air is exhausted to atmosphere. The valve slide can be locked in the closed position with a user-supplied padlock. The V8 is Wilkerson s miniature safety lockout valve and is compatible with the 8 miniature modular FRL system. The V8/V8 and V9/V9 are Wilkerson s compact and standard size safety lockout valves and are compatible with the 8/8 modular FRL system. V8 Wilkerson s safety lockout valves are readily identifiable by their bright OSHA orange and yellow slide mechanisms, which satisfies OSHA s requirement that lockout devices be easily identifiable and standardized within a facility. The V8/V8 lockout valves have orange slides and are used in standard left-to-right flow applications. The V9/V9 valves have yellow slides and are for use in right-to-left flow applications.
